Barrymore wrote about how “liberating” it was to eliminate alcohol and drugs from her life.
He wrote per Yahoo, “One of the bravest things you can do is to slay the dragon and finally change the horrible cycle in which you find yourself trapped. For me, it was to stop drinking. Barrymore explained that finally giving up alcohol was “one of the most liberating things in my life” and said that it helped her “finally be free from the torture of guilt and dysfunction.”
