DUI charges against sister of Cash App founder Bob Lee’s alleged killer discharged

DUI charges against the sister of Nima Momeni, who allegedly killed Cash App founder Bob Lee, have been dropped by the San Francisco District Attorney “pending further investigation.”

Khazar Momeni, 38, was arrested last month and booked on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run, failure to drive in lane, and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility after crashing his car near San Francisco’s Tenderloin area.

But the district attorney dropped each count — at least for now.

“Although the charges against Ms. Momeni are being dismissed, the investigation is ongoing, and charges may be filed at a later date,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement.

The office delayed the filing of formal charges pending Momeni’s toxicology report from the Medical Examiner — an action it stressed is routine in such situations.

“Cases involving blood draws for toxicology due to delays in receiving toxicology reports are very common and not unusual,” the DA’s office said.

Momeni — who was reportedly key to her brother’s alleged motive in Lee’s murder — was arrested Nov. 27 after she allegedly crashed her white Mercedes coupe into two parked cars, police and a witness told NBC Bay Area.

Two firefighters said they saw him inhale from whip cartridges while behind the wheel and police found two canisters in his car at the time of the crash, according to the outlet.

Momeni, who also goes by her husband’s surname Elyassnia, was friends with Lee and was with him on the night of his murder in April.

His brother was arrested for Lee’s murder and accused of stabbing him to death because of his relationship with his sister.

He and Lee may have been romantically involved and reportedly frequented underground orgy and drug parties with San Francisco’s elite class.

Nima Momeni allegedly confronted Lee about his sister and asked if they were “doing drugs or something inappropriate” together, according to prosecutors.
