She wrote, “Just after 2:15am, I received the news that our Len Goodman has passed away. I am so sad and shocked. Like many of you, I am heartbroken.?”

However, Inaba insisted that the deceased judge did not want fans to grieve for long. “He doesn’t want us to be sad,” he said. “So, with tears in my eyes, I humbly ask for this.”

In the following story update, the reality star detailed the request: “Think of your favorite Len-ism and remember him with love. And then turn on your favorite song, take the person next to you and dance. I think he likes that.”

Inaba continued by sharing his favorite Len-isms. “And it’s ten from Len.” He then declared, “And Len, you’re ten years old.” Inaba wasn’t the only “DWTS” co-judge to mourn the sad news. Derek Hough recalls his memories with Goodman over the years.

Alongside the recording, Hough wrote a tearful message. The message read in part, “It’s a gloomy morning here in Los Angeles, which seems fitting after this heartbreaking news. But when I look back on the memories we shared with Len, his sense of humor, his smile, and his charm, it all feels brighter and full of sunshine.”

Professional Dance Judge Seem To Predict His Death

The English professional dance judge, aged 78, died on Saturday, April 22, after a battle with terminal bone cancer. The dance icon was reportedly hospitalized in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, following a brief illness six months after retiring.

A spokesperson for the former “Come Dancing” judge confirmed news of the reality personality’s death in a statement that read, “I can confirm he passed away peacefully over the weekend surrounded by his family,” adding that he was a “much loved husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.”

A few months before his death, Goodman announced his departure from “Dancing With The Stars” to spend more time with his family. Speaking to the Daily Mail about her retirement from reality TV, the ballroom dancer appeared to predict that she would die in 2023 at the age of 79, just like her late father.

The late dancer previously said, “My father had the right idea. He loved gardening, and he had a stroke while he was in the garden. He’s 79, so if I follow my father’s path, that will be next year.”

Later in the interview, Goodman suggested that his interviewer draft a brief obituary. He said, “Just write he’s a dance teacher from Dartford who’s lucky because that’s just about the truth.”

Due to this possible prediction, some fans wondered if he already knew his fate because of his health problems. However, the TV personality stood out with his stance. He stated at the time,

“I don’t make a fuss about things like that. It’s like when you have a car—you’re always serviced, but even then, you’ll have some problem with your carburetor and you’ll have to fix it, and eventually it’ll all go away, and you’ll be gone. It’s more about the journey, and mine has been wonderful.”
