Elle King’s ‘Slip’ Down The Stairs Was Way More Serious Than She Thought

Remember last month when Elle King canceled several shows due to an annoying slip and fall? Well, it was worse than he thought.

The pop singer shared with her followers last month that after a late-night fall while getting a bottle to feed her baby, King slipped down the stairs. “I can laugh now, because I’m doing better, but it was a very intense thing,” he told Entertainment Tonight in a quick update.

He remembered the incident for ET. “I slipped and passed out,” quite differently he shared the day it happened. The “Try Jesus” singer recounted how bad the fall was. “They said I had amnesia and had post-concussion syndrome.”

The 33-year-old insists that despite the slip, he and his 19-month-old son Lucky Levi are doing well.

King was a little scared when it all happened because he was home alone with his son at the time. She’s ready to get back on the road but there’s still time before that happens, Elle is doing physical therapy and enjoying “some quiet time off”

The singer currently lives in Nashville and it seems he is considering making it his permanent home. “What I love about Nashville is the community that I haven’t had in any of the last few cities I’ve lived in, even though I have a lot of friends.”

In Elle’s line of work, she travels a lot and sees a lot of places, it’s not easy to fall in love with a city when you’re exposed.

“There’s something beautiful about this city and my friends and my musical family, they all really rallied around me and were all so supportive and showing up for me and helping me with the baby.”

It could be a coincidence but Elle’s son’s name is Lucky, could it be that she and fiance Dan Tooker gave him that name because she had two miscarriages before carrying their child to term?

She talked about her son and motherhood in October to Many people Magazine. “Motherhood has made me a softer person, a stronger person, someone who tries to be … I’m still trying to be less reactive, but I’m happy,” she admitted.

King went on to say that one thing about motherhood is that it “gets your ass down.” As for the “down time” Elle recommended, her version may be slightly different from our version, the singer made sure to attend to New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash Special. He raved about the night.

“I really had the time of my life when we did the countdown. I don’t know if I’ve ever been so excited,” she recalls vividly.

“I lost my voice — I couldn’t talk for, like, two days after that because I was screaming that countdown,” she recalls. “Just looked around and saw Jimmie [Allen] and Kelsea [Ballerini] and Zac Brown — just realizing that this is my life, this is my home, it’s a crazy opportunity,” King said.
