“To my beloved friends, confidants, and brothers…God knows, my heart stops because I’ve never known a friend like you,” the “OMKalen” star began her message. “No words, dance, or performance can adequately capture how wonderful your existence is to this world and to me.”
Allen opened up about the sweet relationship he shared with the late DJ, writing, “In a world where it’s easy to get lost in the shadows, I’m thankful that we always see each other. We are each other’s number one fans and are often the light in each other’s darkest hours.”
The 26-year-old referenced tWitch’s suicide and opened up about the mental battles he personally faced. “I am very sorry that the darkness found a voice this time and became too strong,” he added.
The “For Christmas Sake” actress recalled her last time with the “SYTYCD” alum was the Friday before she died. Allen recalled calling tWitch for their “regular check-in” after recalling a funny moment between them. Elaborating on the very close bond they shared, Allen wrote:
“On a more personal note, as a queer black man, I want to thank you for looking out for me and giving me friendships I didn’t know existed. Oh, my friend, you have no idea how your existence alone is revolutionary.

Allen wrote that tWitch gave him the opportunity not only to be seen and heard but also to be felt, calling it a “real gift.”
He also reminded fans of the late choreographer’s legacy, adding, “I hope when you look down from above, you know that you’ve never been anyone’s sidekick, and hell, you’re not a real DJ, lol. But how you move and capture the hearts of the world with your gentle and subtle kindness is the glue that makes the puzzle complete.”
Ellen DeGeneres ‘Heartbroken’ About tWitch’s Departure
Allen opened up about how tWitch took the time to encourage the audience to find their show after each show and then made a big vow to his late friend. “I will climb every mountain, and I will dance every dance with your memory as fuel,” he promised. Ending the tearful post, Allen wrote,
“To the guys upstairs, please welcome the best dance partner, fake DJ and host… Stephen “tWitch” Boss! Take care of him and take care of his family. You have found an angel who needs no introduction. Keep dancing.”
The late television personality first rose to fame as the runner-up on “So You Think Can Dance,” wowing with her impressive dance skills. In 2014, he joined “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as a guest DJ, but his charisma and the bond he shared with host Ellen DeGeneres made him popular, making him a regular DJ.

He is my family, and I love him with all my heart. I will miss it. Please send your love and support to Allison and her beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
As reported, tWitch’s widow, Allison Holker, was the first to learn of his death after she ran into the LAPD station on Tuesday after learning that her husband had left home without his vehicle – something he never did.
Shortly after, police responded to a call at an LA hotel, where they found the late dancer dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
