According to Daily Mail, Elton John has expressed his confidence about ending AIDS by 2030, as he recently launched a new initiative called the Rocket Fund. This three-year fund, totaling £101 million (about $125 million), aims to tackle rising rates of HIV infection in vulnerable communities.
In an interview with “Good Morning America” (GMA), the 76-year-old musician emphasized the continued work needed to fight AIDS, stating, “We still have work to do, but that’s why I launched this, we want to end the Aids situation by 2030, we think it’s possible (and) it can be done so we just want to go ahead with it.”
The fund will support more than one million individuals accessing essential HIV prevention and treatment services. This includes facilitating testing, administering antiretroviral therapy, and providing pre-exposure prophylaxis treatment for HIV (PrEP).

While talking to People magazine of the Rocket Fund, the former Nickelodeon star said, “The launch of this new Rocket Fund is going to be a great thing for the world because I think it’s going to educate and fund and just bring awareness — more than it already has — and help break the stigma.”
