‘Euphoria’ Star Angus Cloud’s Mother Tried To Revive Late Actor With CPR

Lisa Cloud, mother of late actor Angus Cloud, tried to revive the “Euphoria” star using CPR before paramedics arrived on the scene.

According to the autopsy report, there were seven different narcotics found in his system at the time of his death, which was ruled accidental. The 25-year-old actor overdosed while mourning the death of his father.

Unfortunately, the report details the mother’s struggle to save her son, with the help of a 911 operator.

According to a summary of the autopsy report, Angus Cloud’s mother entered the actor’s bedroom to find him in a chair at his desk. He fell to the floor, unresponsive, as she tried to wake him. He called 911 and an emergency dispatcher got him to perform CPR before paramedics arrived.

Unfortunately, the Oakland Fire Department did not attempt any life-saving measures due to “obvious signs of death.” He was pronounced dead, although no signs of drug paraphernalia were found at the scene. Brutal action was immediately ruled out as the cause of death.

According to the autopsy report obtained by The Blast, there were seven different substances found in his body, along with several metabolites of the same drug and prescription drugs.

Clonazepam is an intermediate to a long-acting hypnotic benzodiazepine commonly used to treat insomnia. It is also used to prevent and treat various seizure disorders.

Alprazolam is a low-dose benzodiazepine used to treat a variety of anxiety disorders. It can also provide short-term relief from anxiety associated with depressive symptoms.

Adderall, or Dexedrine, is a central nervous system stimulant. Amphetamine is also a metabolite of methamphetamine, benzphetamine, and selegiline.

Many are familiar with THC, which is found in Marijuana and Cannabis, as well as cocaine. Also known as Benzoylecgonine, it is an inactive metabolite and chemical breakdown product of cocaine. Cocaine is a DEA Schedule II controlled central nervous system stimulant. Cocaine use can create feelings of euphoria and pleasure, but it can also result in restlessness, risk-taking, sleep disturbances and aggression.

Fentanyl, a prescription opioid commonly used as an anesthetic/analgesic, was also found in his system. Fentanyl can be 80 to 200 times stronger than morphine. Often sold as heroin, symptoms of fentanyl toxicity include severe respiratory depression, muscle rigidity, seizures, low blood pressure, coma and death.

The last drug found in his system was Methamphetamine, a DEA schedule II stimulant drug capable of causing hallucinations, aggressive behavior and irrational reactions.

In a Facebook post published shortly after his death, Angus Cloud’s mother recalled his final moments and insisted that her son did not kill himself, despite what was trending online at the time.

“He is rearranging his room and putting things around the house with the intention of staying for a while in a house he likes,” he said. “He talked about his intention to help support his younger siblings in college, and also help his mother emotionally and financially. He had no intention of ending his life. When we hugged goodnight, we said how much we loved each other and he said he’d see me in the morning.”

He admits that he doesn’t know “if or what he might put in his body after that. I just know that he put his head on the table where he was working on an art project, fell asleep, and didn’t wake up.” Lisa went on to say, “We may have found that she overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s very clear that she had no intention of leaving this world.”

“The struggle is real. He gives and receives so much love and support to and from his tribe. Her work in Euphoria was a lightning rod for her generation and opened up conversations about compassion, loyalty, acceptance, and love,” he continued before shutting down the notion that she had taken her own life.

“Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that it didn’t happen,” he concluded. “To honor his memory, please make random acts of kindness a part of your daily life. Bless your heart.”
