This fan brought up an interesting point about the name of the show, “Not ‘Down Home Deboer??’”

But really, why isn’t it named that?

Houska originally announced the series in February writing “We can’t wait to take our fans along the next crazy journey of building our business from the ground up — with four kids in tow — showing all the highs and lows on the remodeling site and at home, ” Chelsea told fans when announcing the series, then titled “Fabulous Farmhouse.”

The series will show the couple “hooking up.”[ing] their passion builds and designs while helping other couples do the same.”

Since leaving the “Teen Mom” franchise, Houska and Deboer have maintained an active social media presence, particularly on TikTok.

Their four children are often featured in their videos.

Houska left MTV in 2020 after 10 seasons of the show.

Houska Leaves MTV To Focus On Family & Brand

“We are forever grateful to MTV and our crew, who are like family to us. We parted on the best of terms and will stay in touch long after this. We are proud to be able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning,” Chelsea shared on Instagram at the time. “The next chapter in our lives will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new ventures and expanding the family business.”

Houska became pregnant when she was a teenager with her high school boyfriend, Adam Lind.

They welcomed a baby girl named Aubree in 2009. Lind was a very absent and controversial figure in both Houska’s and her daughter’s lives.

She unexpectedly met her current husband, Deboer, at a South Dakota gas station in 2014.

“Honestly, there’s nobody I’ve ever met who’s been so respectful and nice and I trust him, that’s a big deal, because it’s hard for me to trust people or men, most of the time,” Chelsea said. Us Weekly in 2015 about her romance with DeBoer. “And he’s very sweet, like an old-fashioned kind of guy.”
