WWE co-founder Vince McMahon is under federal investigation into sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations against him, according to a report
Prosecutors in New York have been in contact with victims of McMahon’s alleged sexual misconduct, people familiar with the investigation told the Wall Street Journal.
McMahon resigned last week from WWE after former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexually abusing her and trafficking her to other men within the wrestling giant.
The former honcho has denied the allegations and said a federal investigation would find no wrongdoing.
“I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and hope to clear my name,” he told the outlet in a statement.
WWE did not respond to requests from the Journal about the investigation or about the individual women’s allegations.
Grant, who works in the company’s legal and talent division, made troubling allegations in her lawsuit filed in Connecticut federal court that Mcmahon defecated on her head during a threesome in May 2020 and sexually trafficked her to other WWE executives.
She claims that McMahon sent her a text message in May 2020 that read: “I’m the only one who owns U and controls who I want to f— U.”

Grant’s claim comes after the Journal reported last year that WWE was investigating an alleged $3 million payment from McMahon to departing female employees following a settlement deal.
