Perry’s shocking death has sparked interest in the actor’s last post on social media, which was loaded with Batman references.
While the Halloween season makes it perfect for posting such images, comments from a post she made a few days ago show that fans are still expressing concern for Perry’s well-being.
On October 17, Perry shared a video showing a preview screen of Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman.” The clip was accompanied by the caption, “Don’t worry everyone, I’ve got a walk tonight.”
Two days later, Perry shared another image of a large bat logo plastered on a wall with red lights. The post’s caption read, “Sleep tight everyone, I got the town tonight -Mattman.”
“Mattman” is a combination of his first name, Matthew, and Batman.
A third post featured a photo with a message that read, “Batman playing Pickleball.” She captioned it, “WTF,” and then added in the comments section, “Relax. I’m in a tall building.”
The photo and message seemed fun and playful at the time, but fans are already showing concern, with one asking, “Does anyone know if there’s a reason why he’s posting so much about Batman?”
Things Get More Vague
On October 23, Perry shared a video with a message that set off fans’ alarm bells.
The actor posted a clip showing a hand placing what appeared to be three cranberries or purple grapes on a table. She captioned it, “This is what I need to eat today. I’m Mattman.”
Fans at the time questioned the meaning behind the message, with many asking if he needed help or was in trouble.
One wrote, “I hope all is well with you my friend,” while another commented, “Just checking [you’re] okay? Big hugs from Ireland.”
Certain comments stated that the video was so cryptic that it would one day be the subject of “conspiracy theories.” And it looks like that comment has come true, as many fans have started building theories about the video, linking it to his death.
One person wrote, “I really feel like there is something wrong with this video. Again, the hand just doesn’t look right to me. Maybe I just need to [sic] lots of solitude this weekend. I’ve watched it many times and it’s creepy hands/nails. And the noise. And again, no disrespect. Very.”
Another fan made a sad connection between the cranberry in the video and the death of the lead singer of the band The Cranberries in 2018.
Dolores O’Riordan was found dead in her bathtub from drowning due to alcohol intoxication.
In another post from six days ago, Perry shared an image of a pumpkin carved with a bat sign and captioned it, “Do you know what I mean?”
On the same day, Perry also shared a video of the sky with only the moon lighting up the night. He captioned the post, “Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you? – I’m Mattman.”

One fan wrote, “Seeing this after he passed and the signs are definitely there, look for Mr. Bing.”
