As seen in court documents obtained exclusively by The Blast, the Hollywood sweethearts wrote a lengthy letter to Judge Charlaine Olmedo on behalf of their cast.
In the “Punk’d” host’s petition for leniency, the TV personality began with a brief introduction about himself, noting that his most important title is that of a father. As a parent of two, the 45-year-old claims he trusts his friend with his kids because the older entertainer is his guide to fatherhood.

“Danny had his daughter a year before I had mine. He set the standard for being a good dad. We’ve spent countless hours with our children, and he’s one of the few people I trust to be alone with my son and daughter. my girl,” Kutcher wrote.
Reflecting on their relationship, the Iowa native noted that Masterson has been her friend and role model for more than a decade since the pair met in 1998. She credits the 47-year-old for saving her from the negative side of the industry with “his positive peer pressure.”
According to the “Killer” actress, she avoids “the typical Hollywood life of drugs” because Masterson despises those who use substances, and he doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship. Singing more praise for the New York native’s character, Kutcher recalled his friend’s heroic moments.
The couple were allegedly at a pizza place when they encountered a “belligerent man” scolding his girlfriend. Despite not being a stranger, the father-of-two claimed Masterson was the first to come to the woman’s defense.
“It was an incident that he didn’t have to be involved in but proactively chose because the way this guy was behaving was not right,” the Iowa native explained. “He always treated people with courtesy, fairness, and generosity.”
Kutcher included more cases supporting Masterson’s extraordinary qualities, hoping his story about the disgraced actor’s character would help his conviction. “I do not believe he is a continuing harm to society, and raising his daughter without a father would be a tertiary injustice in itself,” the 45-year-old concluded his letter.
The People’s Choice Award recipient’s wife echoed similar sentiments in her letter. Kunis claims she could feel Masterson’s “natural kindness and genuineness” when they met as co-stars on “That 70’s Show.”
He also credits the “Men at Work” cast for rescuing him from a life full of drugs and being “instrumental” in his personal and professional growth.
“Throughout our time together, Danny has proven to be an incredible friend, confidant, and, above all, an incredible brother to me,” the 40-year-old wrote.

Following the couple’s letter for Masterson’s reduced sentence, social media users blew up Twitter with outrage. Many criticized the couple for pleading on behalf of New York even though they were the ones fighting sex crimes.

The disappointed fan wrote, “We shouldn’t be surprised by Ashton Kutcher, given his defense of Joe Paterno. You shouldn’t expect anything better from a couple who don’t bathe their kids until they smell.”
