Federal investigators explored charging Hunter Biden for sex trafficking crimes

Federal investigators are raising the possibility of charging first-born Hunter Biden with sex-trafficking-related crimes, according to IRS whistleblower documents released this week.

Justice Department Tax Division Prosecutor Jack Morgan outlined nine instances in which President Biden’s 53-year-old son appeared to communicate with prostitutes and coordinate their travel across states, in an October 2020 email to Assistant US Attorney Lesley Wolf released by the House Ways and Means Committee Meaning on Wednesday.

“Lesley: Attached are some, but not all, relevant documents related to SM and the request,” Morgan wrote in the letter, referring to Hunter Biden as “SM.”

“I summarize the content below. The record highlighted is the most proactive record for the purposes of Mann’s actions,” he added.

Morgan’s email highlights two cases where “possible” escorts traveled from Los Angeles and New York to meet Hunter in Boston.

In the third case highlighted, Morgan noted communications between Hunter and a woman who “identified herself as a “knitter”” suggesting the woman may have traveled from New Jersey to New York to meet him.

Two communications appear to have been discovered by Morgan that show Hunter sending messages to sex traffickers as well, denoted as “Trafficker #1” and “Trafficker #2,” in his emails to Wolf.

Morgan could not determine whether some of the other women Hunter contacted were escorts, but the correspondence appeared suspicious enough for prosecutors to pass on to Wolf.

In one case, Morgan wrote, “A chain of texts shows that she went to Delaware and SM paid her money. In another text, however, she states, ‘I am not a prostitute or an escort.'”

The emails were given to the House Ways and Means Committee by IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, who alleged a cover-up in the government’s 5-year investigation into the president’s son.

In congressional testimony on June 1, Ziegler stated that a number of women are believed to have crossed state lines for paid sex with Hunter — possibly in violation of the Mann Act’s ban on interstate prostitution.

“There are some people flying across state lines, paying for their travel, paying for their hotel. They are what we call Mann Act violations,” Ziegler said.

“I know that they are putting it together,” he added. “I don’t know what they ended up doing with them. I know there was an effort at one point to put them together, but I don’t know what ended up happening with them.”

Violations of the Mann Act carry criminal penalties. In a recent high-profile case, it was used to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sex-trafficking minors.

Earlier this month, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) wrote to the Justice Department demanding that a list of Hunter’s alleged prostitutes be provided to Congress – arguing that they could be “sexually exploited” by Hunter and need federal support.

Hunter was indicted earlier this month in Delaware by special counsel David Weiss on three counts related to lying about being addicted to cocaine when he bought the gun nearly five years ago.

The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 25 years.

It is not known whether Weiss is considering prosecuting the first child for crimes related to Mann Act violations.
