Madonna has embarked on a “Celebration Tour” and is honoring fellow legends while she’s at it!
The highly anticipated tour kicks off on Saturday, October 14, at London’s O2 Arena, and the iconic singer delivers, but not without paying tribute to fellow singer Beyoncé, who just wrapped up her record-breaking “Renaissance Tour.”
Madonna Includes Beyoncé Clip On Opening Night Of ‘Celebration Tour’
Before going on stage to do her thing, Madonna included a clips Beyoncé honors her legacy in an intermission. While a photo of the “Vogue” singer from all the years played on the screen, a clip of Beyoncé praising Madonna as a “powerhouse” during her self-titled album release party played in the background. The video states:
“I feel like I want to follow in Madonna’s footsteps, and be a superpower, and have my own Empire.”
MEGA
The “La Isla Bonita” singer didn’t stop there but also included Beyoncé’s vocals from BREAK MY SOUL (Queens Remix) during her performance. Remember that Queen B released a remix shortly after the release of “RENAISSANCE,” which incorporated elements of Madonna’s 1990 hit “Vogue.”
Fans were quick to celebrate the honor, with one user writing, “Madonna made one thing clear: the only person she thinks can fill the space she’s leaving is Beyoncé.” Another said, “If one thing queen M would do is not censor s—. The queen supports the queen.”
This heartbroken fan wrote, “Still sad they couldn’t do it together on the Beyoncé tour,” while another described them as “Two Moms.”
Remember that Madonna was in attendance during the New Jersey stop of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” and received the same honor she lavished on the great entertainer. It was a family affair for the “Like A Virgin” singer, who was joined by her daughters, 17-year-old Mercy and 10-year-olds Stella and Estere.

During his performance, Queen B gave a sweet shout out to her friend, saying, “A big shout out to the Queen. Queen Mother Madonna, we love you!” Also, Bey and Madonna linked up backstage and took the cutest family photo, featuring Beyoncé’s six-year-old daughter Rumi.
Madonna’s Daughters Also Take The Stage On The Big Night
Not only did Madonna pay tribute to Beyoncé, but it looks like she’s taking a leaf out of her “Renaissance Tour” book and bringing her daughters — Lourdes, Mercy, and Estere — onstage.
Proving she inherited her mother’s talent, 17-year-old Mercy was seen playing the instrumental of her mother’s iconic song “Bad Girl” on a grand piano as Madonna, who sat next to her, sang along with gusto.
Fans also got to see 10-year-old Estere, who is a twin, show off her impressive dance moves while her mom performed a mashup of “Vogue.” The pre-teen was seen rocking a voice and walking the runway in style. Finally, 27-year-old Lourdes, who made a name for herself as a model and fashion influencer, held her own dance session.

Fans online compared the moment when Blue Ivy joined Beyonce on stage to dance to “Power” from her “Lion King” album. One fan wrote, “Blue Ivy paved the way for all celebrity kids to go on tour with their moms.” Another comment read, “Blue Ivy and Madonna’s daughter are surrogates for their mother.”
Others, however, stated that Madonna took the lead because her daughter had performed with her a long time ago. “People say that Madonna is copying Beyonce because her daughter performed like Blue did on the Renaissance Tour. Let me take you back to 2019,” the fan wrote.
Another urged, “Comments you know… now they’re pitting Blue Ivy against Madonna’s daughter, stop being BORING and respect the important support and prominence both of them have given to society and especially to ballroom culture.”

While the first night of the “Celebration Tour” was undoubtedly eventful, it was not without a few hiccups as Madonna ran into some technical problems with the sound, causing the show to come to a brief halt. However, the 65-year-old took control of the situation and took the situation lightly.
“This is something you don’t want to happen on your opening night, so it wasn’t planned, I’m sorry,” the “Papa Don’t Preach” singer told his fans as he regaled them with stories about his journey to greatness.
