Find Out Why Britney Spears Once BEGGED For A Burger!

Fans might think that, as a celebrity, pop star Britney Spears is wined and dined on all the best food in the world.

That may be true now, but when she underwent conservatorship from February 2008 to November 2021, the now 41-year-old pop star revealed that her food options were limited. In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” she claims that her father, Jamie Spears, forced her to eat only chicken and vegetables.

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” the “Toxic” singer said that her father put her on a “strict diet” to maintain her weight. “The irony is that we had a butler—a luxury—and I would beg him for real food,” Britney wrote, recalling the times when she actually asked for a hamburger or ice cream.

However, due to “strict orders” from her father, she was not allowed to indulge. “So for two years, I ate almost nothing but chicken and canned vegetables,” he wrote. “Two years is a long time to not be able to eat what you want, especially when your body, your work and your soul make the money that everyone lives on.”

He added, “Two years of asking for French fries and being told no. I find that very condescending.” After being denied the food she wanted all along, Britney began saying that she felt like “[her] the body does not [hers] again.”

He admitted that he was “scared,” adding, “I’ll be honest, I’m miserable.” The Pop princess also insisted that the “strict diet” had the “opposite effect” of what her father wanted, as she noticed she was gaining weight quickly, as per Page Six.

“Even though I don’t eat too much, he makes me feel so ugly and like I’m not good enough,” she wrote. “Maybe it’s because of the power of your thoughts: whatever you think, you become.”

In her book, Britney recalls how she was “so beaten up” that she “just gave in” to whatever her father wanted while in conservatorship. “My body is strong enough to carry two children and agile enough to execute every choreographed move perfectly on stage,” she wrote. “And now here I am, having every calorie recorded so people can continue to get rich off my body.”

However, she expressed disappointment that “no one else” besides her found it “outrageous” that she was on such a strict diet. “My family will live in Destin, a beautiful beach town in Florida, in a very beautiful condo that I bought for them and eat good food every night while I starve and work,” he wrote.

In her memoirs, she recalled how her father “repeatedly told me that I looked fat and that I needed to do something about it.” The constant scrutiny of his appearance is why he decided to publicly shave his head in 2007, a year before conservatorship began.

In another excerpt from her memoir released by People magazine, the “Overprotected” singer said she felt like a “shadow” of herself after thinking about how her father and friends controlled her, her public image and her career for more than a decade.

“Thirteen years passed with me feeling like a shadow of myself. I think back now about my father and his friends controlling my body and my money all that time and it makes me sick,” she wrote.

“Think of how many male artists gamble all their money away; how many have substance abuse or mental health problems. No one is trying to take away their control over their bodies and their money,” she continued, adding, “I didn’t deserve what my family did to me.”

Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
