Press for the film is in full swing and will make its official debut at the Venice Film Festival starting August 31.
Wilde and Pugh will both be attending the festival, but it doesn’t look like they’ll be taking any pictures together, and they’ll most likely be placed far apart from each other in group shots.

In a new report from Wrap it upthe 26-year-old star’s press engagement for the film will be limited to the Venice Film Festival premiere and red carpet events.
“He’ll greet us from the set of ‘Dune’ because he doesn’t do press,” said a studio executive.
Their reported feud began when Wilde, the film’s director, launched an off-screen romance with Pugh’s co-star and on-screen husband Harry Styles.

Also, Shia LaBeoufrecently came out and denied Wilde’s claims that he fired him from the film due to safety concerns.
Wilde appeared on the cover Diversity and create an in-depth cover story for publication.
In the story, she opens up about her relationship with ex-fiancé, Jason Sudeikis, her new relationship with Styles and her upcoming project, “Don’t Worry Honey.”
While talking about his upcoming film, Wilde said he let LaBeouf walk away from the project to protect the cast and crew.
“I say this as someone who greatly admires his work. The process does not fit the ethos I demand in my production. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require combative energy, and I personally don’t believe it lends itself to the best performances,” explained Wilde. “I believe that creating a safe and trustworthy environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and the actors to protect them. That’s my job.”

Olivia Says She Fired Shia LaBeouf, She Says Something Else

Before the cover story was published, Diversity reached out to LaBeouf’s team to see if he wanted to release a statement, he chose not to.
However, given all the chatter about his comments about the actor, LaBeouf is now speaking out.
In an email sent to the publication on August 25, the “Transformers” actor denied being fired.
LaBeouf claims HE STOPPED the movie, not the other way around.
He also shared two emails Wilde sent on August 24 and 25 that outlined his rejection.
LaBeouf wrote, “You and I both know why I quit. I quit your movie because of your cast and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.”
He also sent Diversity a screenshot of a text message he sent Wilde in August 2020, in which he told Wilde he needed to back off of “Don’t Worry Darling.”

LaBeouf was set to play the lead role of Jack opposite Florence Pugh. Ironically, the role ended up going to Wilde’s current boyfriend, Styles.
Text messages show that LaBeouf and Wilde met in Los Angeles on August 16, 2020. After their meeting, the actress called him saying, “Thank you for letting me in on your thought process. I know that’s not fun. It doesn’t feel good to say no to someone, and I respect your honesty. I am honored that you are willing to go there with me, so that I can tell you a story. I was disappointed because it could have been something special. I want to make it clear how much it means to me that you trust me. That’s the gift I’ll take with me.”
He claimed to have dropped “Don’t Worry Darling” the following day on August 17, 2020.

Moreover, LaBeouf also provided a video that Wilde sent him on August 19, 2020, in which he asked him to give ‘DWD’ one more go.
In the video he calls out Pugh and insinuates he needs a “wake-up call.”
“I don’t think I’m ready to give up on this, and I’m heartbroken and I want to think about this,” Wilde said in the video. “You know, I think this might be a little reminder for Miss Flo [Pugh], and I want to know if you would be willing to try this with me, with us. If he’s really committed, if he’s really put his mind and heart into this and if you all can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect his point of view — but if you all can do it, what do you think? is there hope Are you going to tell me?”
