“Unforgettable” rapper French Montana recently revealed why he moved to work with a US-based addiction healthcare service. The rapper previously struggled with addiction to substances such as prescription pills and alcohol.
However, two years sober and four years after his friend and fellow rapper Mac Miller died, the 37-year-old wants to help those struggling with addiction. After a two-week drug-related hospital stay, Montana regained consciousness in 2019.
In his recent interview, Montana talked about alcohol and prescription pill addiction and how easy it is to fall into it. He explained his new partnership, explaining that there are services available for private individuals who wish to conduct treatment in their homes or remote locations.

French Montana Collaborates With Healthcare Organizations

French Montana recently revealed his desire to help people struggling with substance addiction. The “Unforgettable” artist collaborated with Guardian Rehabilitation Services, NAQI Healthcare. This organization helps addicts by providing in-home detox programs with medical supervisors to help them on their addiction-free journey.

The 37-year-old joins Janine Rubenstein of the “PEOPLE Every Day” podcast (Via Many people) and talks about what drove him down that path. During the interview, French Montana talked about Miller’s death as one of the reasons he decided to help.
“Mopstick” artist said. “It touched me because I was in that space, and I consider these artists as my brothers and my family. And when we lose one, it’s almost like losing a part of us. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. . What can I help you?”

French Montana On Drug Addiction

As mentioned People’s Magazine, the “Famous” rapper went on to talk about how easy it is to become addicted to controlled substances like pills and alcohol. Montana describes being an alcoholic as a “slippery slope” because most people tend to turn to the bottle when they have something to celebrate.
The rapper said, “They said [alcohol] is the easiest thing to do, and it is the hardest thing to get rid of. It’s a slippery slope. Every celebration must drink. You have your own vices, and after a while, it becomes a daily thing. It becomes addictive.”
He also explains about pills and how a simple doctor’s prescription for a minor ailment can develop into a difficult addiction. “[Pills] can sneak up on you too,” added the “No Stylist” artist.

“When you go to the doctor for a pain in your leg or a toothache, they give you Vicodins or Percocets. Before you know it, you feel better, and you keep taking them [when you don’t need them anymore]. And opiates are one of the most dangerous things to be addicted to — oxys, all of them,” he said.
French Montana Says Treatment Can Be Done From Home

Montana explained that while addiction starts from a “fun place,” shutting it down is another issue entirely. According to the rapper, some addicts have overdosed over the past two decades, especially artists.
Often, this issue is linked to the patient’s reluctance to let others be aware of their problem; therefore they try to do it themselves. He pointed out that with NAQI Healthcare, issues such as privacy can be resolved as the program can be conducted in the comfort of people’s homes or in different private locations.

The 37-year-old said, “I’m very excited and very happy that we can treat people, especially in the comfort of their homes. A lot of people become closed off. When you’re going through your problems, you want to stay private. , and you want to be cared for where as long as you’re comfortable. We want to help people stay as alive as we can, wherever they’re comfortable.”
NAQI Healthcare services are currently available in US states such as Texas, New York, Florida and California, with the intention of expanding to other locations.

The rapper has enjoyed huge success since breaking into the music industry. His hit single, “Unforgettable,” with rapper Swae Lee, recently became a huge success. The song has been out since 2017 through Bad Boy Records and Epic Records and is one of the lead singles from the rapper’s second studio album, “Jungle Rules.”
follow TMZ, the song was certified diamond late last month, with 10 million units moved. The feat made Montana the only African-born artist with a diamond plaque song.

The 37-year-old also became the first artist to achieve such success in the South Bronx. He recently released his fifth studio album, “Montega,” in collaboration with Harry Fraud. The project was released on June 24th and features several famous artists such as Quavo, Rick Ross, and several others.
