Australian rocker G Flip surprised everyone earlier this year by tying the knot with Chrishell Stause of “Selling Sunset” in a spontaneous Las Vegas wedding.

In an interview with Project on Friday, G Flip, who identifies as non-binary and prefers the pronouns they/them, revealed that despite their apparent differences, they are very similar. “We’re actually more alike than you think. I think aesthetically she’s like this beautiful Barbie and, you know, I’m always looking, but, I’m looking,” said G Flip, per Daily Mail.

They added, “We just got to know each other. We just found out we have a lot in common. He’s just great. He can’t come with me on this trip, but he will come with me for some Aussie shows. And he loves getting front row at the mosh. He’s not standing by, you know?”

The couple shocked the world when news of their romance surfaced last year, as Stause previously only dated men and was married to “This Is Us” actor Justin Hartley, falling in love with G Flip, whose real name is Georgia Flipo.

In a candid revelation, G Flip revealed the details of their whirlwind relationship and how they managed to keep it a secret before going public. Contrary to popular belief that they met while Stause was starring in one of G Flip’s music videos, the truth is that their relationship predates that.

“We actually met before the video, we kissed a few times before the music video,” G Flip revealed on KIIS FM’s “The Kyle and Jackie O Show.”

“We met many times before and hung out, we actually met through Tones And I. Tones And I was looking for a mansion in LA, and Chrishell was a real estate agent.”

G Flip continued, “So we met briefly at a party, but a few months later, in early 2022, we connected with each other, and some of the flirtation died down.”

In early May, the couple tied the knot in a “non-traditional” ceremony held in Las Vegas. When asked if their decision to get married was spontaneous or planned, G Flip replied, “It wasn’t planned because we didn’t spend a year getting the list and getting it perfect, it was non-traditional and fast and it was the best day of my life.”

G Flip mentioned that they only had a small gathering of three or four guests present at the wedding. However, they made sure to include their families who couldn’t attend by broadcasting the event on Zoom. “All my family is in Australia and Chrishell has family in different parts of the US so they watch on Zoom and we have 3 or 4 guests,” the singer explained.

During an interview with Kyle and Jackie O, G Flip revealed that they were the first non-binary individuals Stause was romantically involved with. “I’m not what she planned, she always thought a man was in her future but I came along and I changed that a bit,” they shared, per Daily Mail.

When asked about the common occurrence of an individual initially identifying as straight but then falling in love with someone from the LGBTQ+ community, G Flip stated, “I think nowadays it’s happening more and more, in the queer community, you hear about it a lot. “
