The stars and pros just finished their third week of competition, which left Gabby Windey feeling like a fraud, and wanting to quit “Dancing With the Stars” “every day.”
“I want to quit every day—sorry,” Windey admitted to E!, “But I think it’s okay to accept that feeling, because it’s so hard, and that’s what makes it so much more rewarding knowing that you’re always overcoming bumps in the road, hitting on the road.”
So what keeps the 31-year-old motivated? Windey said at the end of the day, her fiance, Erich Schwer, is what keeps her going. “He’s very encouraging,” Windey told “Extra” after competing and surviving last night’s “Bonding” Night. “He was like ‘You got this’, ‘Just do your best’, ‘Your best is good enough for everyone’.”
“I know he’ll be proud of me no matter what,” she told E!. “I could go there and stand for a minute and a half and he’d say, ‘That’s my girl!’”
Schwer isn’t the only one rooting for Windey as fans are also in her corner, having voted for the “Bachelor” star week after week. Windey became an instant fan favorite because on the first night, Windey and Chmerkovskiy danced to his favorite party song, “As It Was” by Harry Styles, which they received a score of 28 out of 40, putting them at the top of the leaderboard instantly.
During the second week, Windey and Chmerkovskiy danced the Viennese waltz to “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and scored 32 out of 40 — putting them in a three-way tie for the top spot.
And last night, during “Bond” night, the two danced the cha-cha to “Die Another Day” by Madonna, receiving a 33 out of 40.
The current season of “Dancing With the Stars” airs live on Disney+ every Monday night with hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Tyra Banks and judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.

Even through the drama-filled ending, Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer continue to work on their relationship and overcome obstacles. The “Bachelor” leader said after the finale ended, “It’s finally time for us to step back and reflect on our relationship and see if we can get through this.”
He continued, “You have to really lead your communication, be honest with each other when having these difficult conversations. We’re looking at how we can be better than both.”
Schwer has been on live tapings of “Dancing With the Stars” since the climax of “The Bachelorette” aired. He also attends Windey’s training from time to time, supporting him every step of the way.
