Earlier this month, Gabby Windey made headlines after she went on “The View” and announced that she was gay and was dating girlfriend Robby Hoffman.
Now, the ICU nurse is getting candid with fans, talking about how navigating sex in her new relationship has had some “learning curves.”

The former “Bachelor” lead opened up about how sex in his new relationship is, there’s “a bit of a learning curve,” but he’s more “comfortable with other women.”
“I think sex becomes uncomfortable when you feel there are unspoken expectations. There’s nothing here,” Windey told Glamor regarding her relationship with Robby Hoffman. “We talk about everything. Although we are different, we are definitely cut from the same cloth. We are both very open with our communication and know what we want. We will not let anything stand in our way, and we trust each other implicitly,” he continued.
Windey added, “With him, I can be myself. It is a resurrection. It’s serendipitous and kismet and kind of spiritual, but also very stable. We were both meant for a big kind of love, and now it’s finally here.”

The 32-year-old went on to recall that when he first started dating his girlfriend, Robby Hoffman, he had “all this implicit shame from the way I grew up.”
“If there’s a discussion about being gay, it’s embarrassing,” he said. “It really came up in therapy and I was like, ‘Is it because of my trauma? Do I just have mommy issues?’ Maybe so, but I’m the happiest I’ve been in the last four months, so why do I question it? But I had to go through all that to get to where I am now.”
Windey went on to say it was scary to tell his family about his sexual orientation, although “they’re used to me coming at them with outside stuff because I’m a little unpredictable, but I don’t think they ever expected this.”
When telling the story of how she came out to her parents, she admits, “I told them in a nonchalant way. I was like, ‘I saw a girl.’ They don’t know what to do with it but say, ‘We just want you to be happy’.”
He added, “I think parents think it’s just a phase, especially the older generation. But it’s not a phase. I just have to give them space. I’m still thinking about what this means too. My grandfather doesn’t really care who I date. It doesn’t show up, and that’s okay. He is 85 years old and on his own today. Let him; he lived his best life.”
Despite everything, Windey says she’s very happy in her current relationship and doesn’t see herself dating anyone else. “I don’t think I’ll ever date a guy again,” she said according to Glamour. “I feel very emotionally connected to my girlfriend and that’s the most important thing to me.”
