The house has been in the family for 21 years and was purchased by Clooney for $10 million. It is now worth around $100 million, according to reports.

At Lake Como, Clooney first met his wife, Amal Clooney, in 2013 while she was in transit on location to Cannes, France. The house has also been visited by many celebrities who know the star of the “Ocean” franchise.

Actor Clooney has reportedly built his Lake Como home for sale, per People magazine.

The 25-room estate, also known as Villa Oleandra, has tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, gym, theater and manicured gardens.

It also comes with a large garage where Clooney keeps his extensive collection of vintage motorcycles.

Clooney has owned the villa for 21 years, buying it in 2002 for 10 million euros, about $10 million. According to sources, the sale was handled by an unnamed Milanese agency and was estimated to sell for as high as $100 million.

“It must be said that as a very good actor and investor, he is also a very smart investor, considering that he bought the villa for 10 million euros,” the source said of the proposed sale of Clooney’s house.

Clooney reportedly fell in love with the villa after filming the movie “Ocean’s Twelve” in Lake Como, Laglio.

The villa has since become one of the most famous celebrity homes in the world, and it has hosted many A-list guests over the years, including Barack Obama, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Julia Roberts.

Since acquiring the property, Clooney has taken an active part in Lake Como affairs several times.

In 2007, he mobilized his neighbors to collectively sign a petition against a proposed plan to build a parking facility and pontoon bridge. The project is slated to run close to his residence, suggesting that it may have been initiated because of his presence in the area.

Additionally, Clooney expressed his concern as the region faces heavy rains and landslides during the summer of 2021. According to reports, he personally visited the affected areas and joined local residents in the clean-up efforts.

“I thought she was beautiful, and I thought she was funny and obviously smart,” George said of their first meeting.

The two have several conversations after that without seeing each other again, slowly building their bond until they decide they should be more than friends.

She added, “He sent some pictures while he was here, and we wrote to each other, emailed, talked, mostly about what was going on in each other’s lives. And over a period of time it turned out that we were more than just friends.”

Clooney finally popped the question in 2014 during a romantic dinner with Amal at home.

“I did all the things, got down on my knees and did all the things you’re supposed to do,” Clooney recalled of the moment..
