Many fans are happy that the show didn’t kill off the character. Instead, his absence was addressed during a conversation between Din Djarin and Greef Karga in the season 3 premiere. Greef told Din that he was training with special forces, which always opened the door for him to appear later in the series.
Carano was actually supposed to star in his own spin-off series called “Rangers of the New Republic.” However, the series was canceled after he was fired. Even though the galaxy far, far away is now in his rearview mirror, many fans are still disappointed that the show will continue without him.

Bill Burr Comments On Gina Carano’s ‘Strange’ Shooting From ‘Star Wars’

As The Blast previously reported, Gina Carano’s “The Mandalorian” comedy co-star Bill Burr called Carano’s firing “weird” in an April 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Carano was fired for her social media posts, which included mocking wearing a mask and questioning the results of the 2020 Presidential election.
“I think it’s funny that a liberal is proving his point,” Burr said at the time. “They only use anger because they don’t like your politics. As someone who considers himself a liberal, it’s disappointing to see the left become like the right when they go after the Dixie Chicks after they criticize George W. Bush.”

“There aren’t many people like that – most are just trying to stay out of trouble – but there is a small group of lunatics – whether on the right or the left, at any time – who cause hysteria,” he continued. “And now there are so many [media outlets] who want eyeballs, they make money from advertising, that they pay attention to these crazy fringe people.”
“Everything with Gina: You can’t speak up when that happens, because then you cause static for other people at [show]. That someone’s opinion — or their political beliefs — makes people try to destroy their ability to make a living, it’s strange to me.”
