Ginuwine nearly drowned while filming Magic With The Stars this week. The stunts of his partner, Criss Angel are very wrong.

The “Difference” singer was prepared with all the right equipment before stepping into the water tank where she was meant to hold her breath while the magician performed the trick. The DailyMail shared that an undisclosed source saw it down.
The singer hit the glass, signaling for an emergency, and paramedics were called to the scene. Ginuwine, whose real name is Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, was initially conscious when he got out of the tank, breathing heavily, but awake.
As paramedics on set tried to calm him down, that’s when he passed out.

The 51-year-old was then taken to the other side of the stage for a closer look. “It all happened so fast, it was like he got hit in a fight,” the source claimed DailyMail. The show is hosted by comedian Eddie Griffith. It also features Loni Love and magician Lance Burton as judges.
The premise of the show is a celebrity training with Criss Angel to create an amazing, out-of-this-world magic trick. This one with Ginuwine, however, doesn’t seem to be looking too great yet. In fact, it looks very scary.

According to the source, the “Pony” singer is on the show for two reasons; to perform impressive stunts and face his fears. “In the show, he tries to overcome his fear of being underwater because he can’t hold his breath for more than 15 seconds before attempting the stunt.”
The source went on to share that Ginuwine recovered shortly after the incident later that day and seemed fine as the day went on. They also shared that the show must go on.
“Even though he failed in practice, he still went on the show and everyone cried.”

The show, which will air on the CW will celebrate Criss Angel and his success as a magician on various platforms. The show will also feature other celebrities such as Donny Osmond, Frankie Muniz, Brec Bassinger, Debbie Gibson, Matt Walsh, Flavor Flav, Randy Couture, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski.
Funny enough, Frankie Muniz posted a video of himself online a few years ago of him grinding and dancing to Ginuwine’s biggest hit “Pony”. Now, they work together. The actor had to repost the video to cheer up his friends after a tough day on set.
Magic With Stars premieres on October 22.
