Apparently Ginuwine “really” doesn’t remember meeting Justin Timberlake as described by Britney Spears in her memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
In her book, narrated by actress Michelle Williams, the “Toxic” singer claims that Justin wore Blaccent while talking to the “Pony” artist. The dialogue went viral on social media thanks to Michelle Williams’ delivery, but Ginuwine claims he doesn’t remember the event at all.

In chapter 10 of Britney’s memoir, the Pop Princess recalls how the “Cry Me A River” singer wore Blaccent when she approached Ginuwine in New York City.
“His band *NSYNC used to be what people call ‘so pimp.’ They’re white guys but they love hip-hop. To me, that’s what separates them from the Backstreet Boys, who seem very conscious of positioning themselves as a white group,” Britney wrote in her memoir. “*NSYNC hangs out with black artists. Sometimes I think they try too hard to fit in.”
“One day J and I were in New York, going to a part of the city I’d never been to before. Walking towards us was a man with a large medallion in pieces. He was flanked by two giant security guards,” he continued. “J got excited and said so loud, ‘Oh yeah, for’ shiz fo’ shiz, Ginuwine, what’s up homie?’ After Ginuwine walks away, Felicia [Spears’ assistant] is J’s response … J is not even shy. He just took it and looked at it like, ‘OK, f— you Fe.'”

Many of the pop star’s fans took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to share clips of Michelle Williams reading the dialogue.
One user called it “art” while another follower joked that the dialogue would help the actress finally get an EGOT.

Earlier this week, Ginuwine opened as Husky on Fox’s reality series “The Masked Singer.” Celebrities disguised themselves in elaborate costumes and a panel of four judges were instructed to guess the identity of the perpetrators before they were unmasked.
During an interview explaining what it was like to compete on the show’s tenth season, Ginuwine was asked by People magazine about the viral moment from the pop star’s book, “The Woman In Me.” Ginuwine was asked:
“Your name appeared in Britney Spears’ memoir because she claimed Justin Timberlake was wearing black accent when he met you. Did you hear about that?”
“Yes, yes, I certainly heard that,” he replied. “People are calling about that. But I can tell you I don’t remember that happening. I really don’t remember that happening.”
“If Justin would do something like that, I’d probably look at him like, ‘Why are you acting like that?’ If he did that, that would be something that I would remember. That would definitely stop,” he added. “So, I don’t remember that happening.”
However, the pop star’s fans were quick to reach out to her online.

Britney isn’t “lying” because Ginuwine says she doesn’t remember something that happened over 20 years ago. He actually provides a lot of corroborating evidence in the book that it is true such as:

A Britney Spears fan account reminds everyone that just because Ginuwine doesn’t remember the event doesn’t mean she’s lying, especially since the encounter happened twenty years ago, when Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002.
Fan accounts point to other details in the book as evidence that Britney remembers the event well. She describes what Ginuwine was wearing, how she was flanked by two security guards, and how Britney’s assistant mocked Justin after Ginuwine walked away.

Britney also claimed that this was the trip where Justin Timberlake got his big “T” necklace as further proof that the event did, in fact, happen.
For what it’s worth, the “Gimme More” singer took to Instagram shortly after Ginuwine’s comments began making headlines, but it didn’t seem to be about the controversial incident.
Britney Spears Gets Flimsy On Instagram
On Thursday night, Britney took to Instagram to share a piece of artwork showing a woman’s face partially obscured by a dog. In the caption, she asked her followers, “Have you ever had an experience where you’re in a room with someone and they’re thinking the same thing as you and you don’t have to say anything at all???” He then said, “Or have been emotional in the car alone but you can feel that you are not alone !!! Most people say it’s your intuition !!! your inner goddess!!! It’s pretty strong!!!”
“And it’s one of those topics that people can’t explain so it can feel a bit complicated sometimes!!!” he continued. “People with strong lives have a sixth sense in how to create their own life and destiny!!! It’s contagious to be with people who can awaken you and take us to a higher place!!! I believe it’s important to be around the kind that person !!! There is a sense of safety and knowing in being with that !!! I call them wise souls !!! Believe it or not I think children are more in tune with their sixth sense than we know !!!
