Glamorous equestrian accused of planning $2M murder-for-hire plot against husband claims she was raped, threatened ‘Godfather-style’ by his pal

A glamorous California horsewoman who is facing charges for allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill her husband claims she was raped by one of her friends who threatened her “Godfather style.”

Tatyana Remley claims her estranged husband, Mark, allowed one of his friends to assault her while she was at their luxury ranch in Del Mar, San Diego, according to divorce documents obtained by The Post.

“On 21 May 2023, the Respondent’s friends entered our house and broke my bedroom door while I was locked inside. It was late at night and I was scared to death.

“They forced their way into my bedroom and held me at gunpoint. I was raped by one of his friends, who also told me that he planned to kill me. This happened while the respondent looked on and laughed, allowing his friends to continue,” the document claims.

“They kept breaking my expensive horse statue in the yard and putting the horse’s head on my bed, Godfather style.”

The Remleys first made headlines after their multi-million dollar equestrian acrobatics show called “Valitar” suddenly closed in 2012, leaving performers and crew in dire straits.

Mark Remley filed for bankruptcy in December 2012 as creditors demanded payment for goods and services the couple ordered for their failed horse and acrobatics show, which they hoped would rival “Cavalia.”

The affluent couple – who were married for 12 years – still lived a lavish lifestyle until their split in May, spending sometimes $30,000 in one night, Tatyana Remley said in court documents.

She claims she “came out of hiding” from her husband and returned to their Del Mar home on July 5 with a friend when the house suddenly caught fire and “almost burned down.”

She filed for divorce on July 11, but was arrested on August 2 during a sting operation conducted by an undercover detective who allegedly tried to hire her to kill her husband.

After Mark Remley, 57, discovered his wife offered a mutual friend $2 million to kill her, the businessman went to the police himself, who launched a sting operation, San Diego sheriff’s officials said.

Tatyana Remley, 42, has been charged with solicitation of murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.

Before she was arrested, Tatyana Remley asked a divorce judge to order her husband to pay $15,000 a month in spousal support. He said he hasn’t worked in years and now needs to support himself and has plans to go to medical school.

The former couple were not blessed with children but raised each other from a previous marriage.

“The Respondent and I lived a very comfortable lifestyle, however, I was financially dependent on the Respondent for our entire relationship, spanning over fourteen years,” Tatyana Remley wrote in her declaration.

“Since the separation, the Respondent has not only threatened me verbally and physically, but he has cut off my access to funds.”

She also claims her husband’s friend stole more than $250,000 worth of property from their home, including her handbag, shoes and her goat and parrot.

The glamorous horseman “ran all over” and Mark Remley “followed her … like a grinning, frightened puppy,” Erik Martonovich, a showman who works with his wife, told the Daily Mail.

“She was very, ‘Look how beautiful I am,'” Martonovich added. “The persona she wants to present to the world is that she is like a beautiful Russian supermodel. And maybe a supermodel with a touch of Barbie.

“I don’t think she’s actually Russian, and she’s not a supermodel. But I’m sure what he’s good at is being a gold digger.”

Martonovich also claimed he walked into a couple who were fighting during a fight and saw marks on Mark Remley’s face. “It looked like he slapped her, maybe,” he said.

Tatyana Remley, however, claimed in her declaration that she was the victim of “extreme threats of physical violence” from her husband, claiming that he pulled a knife on her and also put a gun to her head in front of one of their employees.

She pleaded with the divorce judge to allow her to return to the Del Mar property during the divorce so she could live in a trailer because the house was still damaged by a July fire.

Tatyana Remley also claims that her husband has severe mental health problems, is addicted to cocaine and still lives a lavish lifestyle with assets of over $8 million.

He remains in a San Diego jail and is scheduled to appear in criminal court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 16.
