In her caption, she couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming, “Intimate and magical wedding ceremony in our backyard followed by a fabulous reception…ohhhh dancing!!”
The 62-year-old expressed a “huge thank you” on behalf of both of them to everyone who made it “a day and night to remember,” enthusiastically adding, “Honeymoon here we come!”
The lovebird wore an elegant white dress for the occasion, accessorized with a beautifully styled updo. Adding a touch of furry charm to the festivities, their Tibetan Papillion Spaniel mix, LuKas, joined the festivities, wearing a dapper black-and-white bow tie.

One post on the pup’s Instagram page happily proclaimed, “My mommies are MARRIED!!!! Married?……yes….married!!!??♀️?✨.” As expected, the ceremony had a star-studded presence such as Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
Before the memorable event, the country icons, who tied the knot in December 2005, offered their wisdom and best wishes to Roberts and Laign on “GMA.” Yearwood expressed their joy, saying:
“We are very happy that you are getting married. Congratulations!” The 58-year-old added: “And we’ve been asked to tell you what we think is the secret to a happy marriage, because we’ve been doing it for almost 18 years.”
Simultaneously, Yearwood and Brooks emphatically declared, “Marry your best friend!” And it looks like Laign is the perfect fit for Roberts, who shared their touching love story during the “GMA” broadcast.
She praised the 49-year-old for his unwavering support during her breast cancer battle in 2007. The writer explained, “We had only been dating for less than two years when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He was bailable at the beginning of the relationship. No one would blame him.”

Although the loved-up couple started dating in July 2005, it wasn’t until December 2013 that the newscaster was openly gay. During their 15th anniversary celebration in 2020, the massage therapist gleefully recounted how she and Roberts first crossed paths on a blind date despite initial attempts to call it off twice.
However, they were very happy that they finally met as planned, considering that their trip was a significant success. In a candid conversation with Gabby Bernstein about making the show set for 2023, the television presenter revealed her desire to marry her partner.

It took a long time to answer Bernstein’s question, “What are you ‘yes’ to?” the author of “From the Heart: Seven Rules to Live By” reveals, “I hesitated because I hadn’t said it out loud yet … I said ‘yes’ to marriage. We are getting married this year.”
Digging deeper, Roberts recounted to Bernstein, explaining, “It’s something we’ve talked about, but we’ve put it off; she got sick,” referring to her partner’s late 2021 breast cancer diagnosis.
Despite the slight delay, the former WDAM-TV sports anchor emphatically insisted that he “said yes to that and the next chapter.”
As the realization of what she said hit, Roberts, fanning herself with her card, declared, “I can’t believe I said that.” Bernstein, instead, encouraged her to “make a marriage vision board.”
The host emphasized his intention to prioritize marriage, not just marriage. Under a clip of Monday’s post she shared on Instagram, she wrote, “Saying YES to marriage in 2023 ?.”
