‘GOT’ Star Kit Harington Has Welcomed His Second Child With His Wife, Rose Leslie

“Game of Thrones” actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have welcomed their second child together.

Harington revealed that he and Leslie are expecting their second child during an appearance on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in February.

The “GOT” couple welcomed their first child in 2021, three years after tying the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony at Leslie’s estate in Scotland.

Harington and Leslie have reportedly welcomed their second child together. A representative for the couple was revealed to Page Six that they were “delighted to welcome a little girl into the family.”

Back in February, Harington announced the news of his wife’s second pregnancy while appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” At the time, she talked about how surprised her son was, saying that he was “going to get the surprise of his life that he’s going to have a little brother or a little sister.”

The actress also spoke about the difference between her experience with her first and second pregnancy, admitting she was “surprised.” She said, “You know, with the first baby, you’re like walking on a cloud and dancing through a field of daisies for nine months – well, the guy anyway. But this time, the reality check comes shorter. You can be practical very quickly.”

Harington and Leslie met on the set of “Game of Thrones,” where they played the roles of Jon Snow and Ygritte. They soon fell in love, just like their characters, and married in 2018 in Scotland.

MEGANews Leslie’s first pregnancy was revealed in 2020 after she appeared on the front page Create a Magazine in a beautiful black and white photo revealing her baby bump. Later in 2021, the two were spotted out with their baby boy strapped to Leslie’s chest.

In his appearance on the “Tonight Show,” Harington was asked what his son thought about having a new family member, and the actor noted that the child still doesn’t “understand it conceptually.”

“We are working to prepare him for that,” he added. “We pointed to Rose’s belly and we said, ‘Baby mama, baby mama.’ And she pointed to her stomach and said, ‘My baby.’ I’m sure that — yes, you’ll soon find out.”

Still, during his “Tonight Show” appearance, Harrington opened up about his son, admitting that he’s “pretty smart.”

“It’s surprising, considering we’re both actors,” Harington quipped, referring to he and his wife and their acting careers. “We were like; we’re not sure where it’s coming from … He loves applause.”

He then explained how his son seemed to get a standing ovation, joking that he shouldn’t have wasted his intelligence pursuing an acting career.

“Every time he does something good, we give him a round of applause, and we’re worried it will push him to act,” Harrington said. “We were kind of like, ‘Hey, you’re probably too smart for this. Go save the word, we’re sick, we have no choice.'”

In his cover story for Harper’s Bazaar UK’s In the June 2022 issue, Leslie gets candid about her husband’s past struggle with alcoholism, sharing how she overcame it.

“For Kit, as an addict, it was very important for him to recognize himself as such,” Leslie told the publication. She added, “The AA community has provided a loving space for him to feel heard, to make sure he’s not alone. But if it wasn’t for the recovery, he would be in a very different headspace now.”

In 2019, Harington took a break from acting after checking into a rehabilitation facility in Connecticut shortly before the final season of “Game of Thrones” aired. After a stint in rehab, Harington was soon free of his addiction struggles and has since focused on staying sober.

Leslie confirmed Harper’s Bazaar that the “Eternals” cast has been alcohol-free for over three years. She also added that although she has learned a lot about addiction, it is entirely up to her husband to stay sober and not relapse.

“I’ve learned a lot about addiction and it’s something Kit will be aware of forever, but it’s up to him whether he chooses to drink again.”

Leslie continued, “No amount of nannies are going to be able to stop him from doing what he decides to do. I didn’t choose to put that pressure on myself. The responsibility for his behavior is on him. It’s not my place to protect him from that.”
