Hart and Helbig Discuss, ‘This, May Be Weird’ Diagnosis
The two won’t shy away from discussing Helbig’s diagnosis on the latest episode of “This Might Get Weird.”
Hart and Helbig cheerfully kicked off the episode, with Hart joking, “Not much going on this week in your world, huh?” with Helbig replying, “Really! I was like, ‘Do you have anything to talk about this week because I’m light on the topic of conversation,'” she continued with a laugh.
Helbig will tell viewers that the day he revealed the news (Monday, July 3) felt “intense”.
“I am deeply moved by the kindness of everyone who may have contributed to my exhaustion today,” he continued. “But I’m also very relieved to have told people and have it out there. I was really nervous about it, but I felt like I was walking around with this big, big secret.”
“Even though he’s making a video talking about it, the response from everyone has been unbelievable. I’m still, I guess, a little surprised about how friendly and supportive everyone is…” Helbig continued.
Hart will share how he found out about his friend’s news.
“I came back from my vacation, and we did a podcast the next day. I’m here talking about a crab walking naked through a spa…” As Hart tells the story, Helbig laughs hysterically and goes on to reveal that Hart didn’t know for several episodes.
“For an episode or two, you don’t know, and I just shut up, like, we’re moving on. But what you’re telling is probably the funniest story any of us have ever told in four years of doing this podcast, I just sat there quietly and knew to myself, ‘this woman is having fun, and this is the funniest story , and I will destroy his entire universe as soon as this is over!” Helbig laughed.
