Grinch stands outside elementary school with ‘Santa is Fake’ sign, angering parents and scaring kids

This is one way to make a naughty list.

A gleeful Texas “pastor” stood outside an elementary school dressed as the Grinch holding a sign that read “Santa is Fake. Jesus is Real,” in an attempt to steal the holiday cheer from the children inside.

David Harold Grisham disguised as Dr. Beloved Seuss stood in front of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School in Amarillo, Texas earlier this week expressing his belief in children and parents he considers lying

The restless man claimed he was attacked outside the school while “the police showed up in force” to distract him from his mission and prevent him from “exercising my first amendment rights as much as they could,” Grisham said in a Facebook post .

“Hundreds of children heard the message and many parents too,” he added. “It’s very telling of society to go this far in protecting LIES. To go to such lengths in trying to protect children from hearing the truth. No wonder our country is facing problems.”

“You shouldn’t lie to kids,” Grisham is heard saying before a man grabs his sign, rips it up and throws it to the ground.

The school’s principal said Grisham was “unwelcome and uninvited.”

“I am saddened by the fact that some of our children and families are scared because of him,” Kelsey Williams said according to the outlet.

Before his act, Grisham aired a twisted version of the holiday poem “T’was the Night Before Christmas” in which the homeowner shoots Santa with the closing line “Santa is DEAD, But Christ is ALIVE!”

In a separate Facebook post, Grisham announced more Grinches would be out on the streets, to “preach” the same message he’s been doing this week, even asking for money to help fuel and feed others.

On his Facebook, Grisham said he was “in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ first and foremost above ALL things. I confess his name before men.”

“I am the pastor of a small group of street preachers who bring the gospel to those who will not step foot in the church,” he said.

Santa Claus, the holiday figure that Grisham envies, is based on the religious figure Saint Nicholas known to the Dutch as Sinterklaas, one of the inspirations for the jolly icon.
