It looks like Nastia and her teammates are enjoying catching up after more than a decade since they competed together at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. “History was made, medals were won… but what’s greater than both of those things is the incredible. the bond we created 15 years ago,” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

“As an only child in individual sports, this incredible group of people became my brothers and sisters for the rest of my life,” he continued. “Even though they say you can’t choose your family, you can’t choose your Olympic teammates either – but I will continue to choose each one of them again and again and again.”

“Forever grateful for the many moments and memories created in Beijing in the summer of 2008 – but perhaps even more grateful that 15 years later we have become closer together – something we were all told is rare,” he added. “The rest was said at the dinner table last night, we were all together again… a night spent laughing, crying and reminiscing about 15 years. Love you forever… see you later.”

Famous fans and friends showered the post with red heart emojis and love. “I used to have posters of all your guys on my wall and would memorize your beam routine and pretend to do it on my sidewalk as a kid,” one fan confessed.
