On Saturday night, the five-time Olympic champion took to Instagram to share a few pictures of her relaxing in the sun in her blue bikini that featured a checkered design. The checkered black and white fabric is surrounded by blue trim and covered with small blue and white flowers all over the fabric.
Although Nastia covered her arms in a white knitted sweater, her glowing summer tan was on full display, as was her toned stomach. She wore her short blonde hair tied back as she looked out to sea through her angular sunglasses.

In another photo, the 2008 Olympic all-around champion stands, showing off some beach behind her. She tugged on the string of her tiny bikini bottoms with both hands while looking away from the camera. She complimented her look with plenty of jewelry, including stud earrings, two silver chain necklaces and several colorful beaded bracelets.
In the caption of her Instagram post, she wrote, “Offline is the new luxury.” Fans were quick to praise her steamy bikini pictures. “Awesome,” commented one fan. “Nice picture,” wrote another follower. “Cute suit,” a third fan chimed in. “California queen,” shared another follower. “Your body is amazing!!” another fan erupted. “Love to see you happy and living your best life Nastia,” wrote another follower.

Although she retired from gymnastics in 2012, the 2005 World champion on the uneven bars is still busy. In late June, he spoke to Page Six at the activation of Stagwell’s Sports Beach at the Cannes Lions Festival in Southern France. While there, she explained the advice that late NBA legend Kobe Bryant gave her that helped her succeed in her post-gymnastics career.
“She always said that, ‘You have this idea in your head that you’re the girl in the pink leotard and the scrunchie — and you’re more than that,'” she explained. After retiring from gymnastics, she launched a clothing line, a skin care line, and developed herself as an influencer with over a million followers on Instagram.

“He helped me believe [in myself] because he was like, ‘If you don’t believe that, who else will?’” he said. “[Gymnastics is] not something that defines me. And I think realizing that it’s something I can be proud of… but it’s like a position or a relationship, it doesn’t define who we are as human beings.”
Nastia also participated in a Cannes Lions panel titled “Axios Presents: Women in Sports Broadcasting and the Road to 2024,” which featured several respected female sports broadcasters including NBC Sports’ Maria Taylor and ESPN’s Holly Rowe, among others.
Nastia Liukin Reunites With BFF Shawn Johnson At ESPYS
On Wednesday, the 33-year-old athlete reunited with her best friend, Shawn Johnson, who recently announced that she is expecting her third child. Nastia looked stunning in a sparkling “Barbie” pink dress as she walked, while Shawn rocked a strapless blue dress and hugged her growing baby bump.
“We used to do a countdown together – two teenagers patiently waiting for the day we finished a training camp or another competition… yes we even had another one at the Olympics,” Nastia wrote in the caption. “Our countdown looks a little different today… and maybe even more interesting than the Olympic countdown… here’s our next countdown to another twin date night and baby shower.”
The two women competed together in the 2008 Beijing Olympics for Team USA. Although Nastia won the gold for the individual all-around event and Shawn took home the silver, the two remained close friends throughout the year. In 2019, Good Morning America reported that Nastia was named godmother to Shawn’s daughter, Drew Hazel.
