Hailey Bieber faced a tough crowd when she wore a thong bikini and fed herself on Instagram earlier this year. The supermodel has been in full promotional mode for the latest release of her skin care brand Rhode, one receiving a lot of press and even seeing her strip down to a swimsuit to show off the Passionfruit Jelly lip products she’s wearing.
Hailey surprised the cameras as she weaved the passion fruit’s name into a series of sun-soaked photos, but fans were quick to raise eyebrows. Many feel that the image is too sexual for a beauty product. Of course, March’s stock also comes as Hailey makes global headlines for her alleged feud with 31-year-old singer Selena Gomez.
Dumping For Passion Fruit Jelly

In a share posted to Rhode’s Instagram, Hailey drew attention to her glossy lips as she scooped up some fruit and used yellow manicured hands. All hair slicked back and wearing lots of bronzer, the wife of Justin Bieber exuded a sporty beach babe vibe, also seen in a separate image where she modeled a rashguard-style bikini and covered her backside in sand.
In her March 29 sharing, one posted on her own Instagram, Hailey wrote: “JELLY PASSIONFRUIT. New passionfruit jelly peptide lip treatment coming 4/6. Sign up for the waitlist now rhodeskin.com @rhode.”
‘Should We Sexualize Everything?’
“Do we have to do everything sexually? This is an addition to the lip balm,” said one fan, with over 3,000 others liking the comment. “Why is lipgloss sexualized,” said another. More users responded in the same tone. “If a product needs sexual ads to sell… I’m not sure about the quality,” a third fan chimed in. Hailey stayed silent amid the backlash, continuing her promotions and even launching her brand in Canada. All of this comes as the Victoria’s Secret model continues to suffer online bullying from fans who support former Disney star Selena Gomez.
Rhode Hits 1 Million Followers
Hailey’s Instagram following has dipped slightly following the Selena Gomez drama, but it doesn’t look like the blonde’s brand has suffered.
Just yesterday, the Rhode brand founded in 2022 celebrated reaching 1 million followers on Instagram. “Grateful and grateful for a million of you,” the company wrote. Hailey has turned to all things donuts for her latest beauty release.
