Halsey finally spoke out about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and gave an update on life after weeks of silence since the unrest broke out.
Like other celebrities who have sided with or spoken out against the killing, the 29-year-old musician and career activist has supported Palestine and lent her voice to campaigns centered on human rights, trans and LGBTQIA+ rights and gender equality.

After weeks of disappearing from the radar during the war, the mother-of-one explained her stance on her Instagram Stories. He began by admitting that he may have been a coward for remaining silent for so long, especially after “the vocal support of the Palestinian people over the past few years.”
Halsey went on to reveal that she was “honestly, very concerned about navigating my responsibilities as a career activist as it relates to my daily life outside of social media: Being a mother of a young child and a member of my community, in addition to contributing my voice and platform that greater.”
The “Eastside” singer added that the global conversation has escalated violently, and she’s having a hard time processing the events that have taken place online and offline.
He revealed that he experienced a series of violent and life-threatening events during his last tour and had his home hit several times and “required a sniper presence in the sky during most of my shows that summer.”

The event made him more safety conscious and influenced his decision to protect his family from people who planned to hurt him because of his different opinions.
He went on to say that his condition should not prevent him from “voicing out support for families who have suffered far worse violence,” adding that:
“Families are caught between the warring hands of the military government and terrorist organizations, and the diaspora of both sides is trying to get by every day.”
Halsey expressed his regret and reiterated his stance on the liberation of the Palestinian people, adding that he made substantial contributions to aid and support organizations.
“My politics are not complicated and remain unchanged. I condemn any organized power that launches acts of violence against innocent civilians. The rise of Antisemitism and Islamophobia cannot be denied. I am against hate speech in all forms. I stand for freedom and the right to live in safety,” the award-winning singer concluded in her statement.

The “Sorry” singer has been slammed along with Rihanna for sharing their thoughts on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in 2021. Halsey tweeted:
“It’s not ‘too complicated to understand’ that brown children are killed + people are displaced under the occupation of one of the most powerful armies in the world. It is willful ignorance to conflate this simple horror with religion + geopolitics.”
Halsey’s comments upset people who felt she was being neutral, and she quickly clarified that her tweet was aimed at “her peers and white Americans who are not concerned with the Middle East crisis because they don’t care about what happens to people of color.”
He apologized for not making the target of his tweet clearer as he went on to condemn those who wrote off the crisis as “too complicated.”
Selena Gomez Faces Massive Backlash Amid Support For Palestine
Halsey wasn’t the only one attacked for her choice. Fellow musician and beauty brand CEO Selena Gomez is also getting serious attention for throwing her weight behind Palestine in the ongoing war.

As reported by The Blast, the “We Don’t Talk Anymore” star released a statement through her beauty brand “Rare Beauty” about their plans to financially support Palestine, adding that they were disturbed by reports coming from the region saying:
“Most of these victims are children. Palestinian civilians must be protected, period.”
He also sympathized with Israelis, writing, “We remain saddened by the horrific terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Israel on October 7, many of them children. There is no situation where attacks on civilians are acceptable.”
Regarding its company’s generous donation to Gaza, the brand wrote:
“Rare Beauty will make a donation to the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Society – Magen David Adom, & the Palestine Red Crescent Society – which provides immediate care in the field. We will also donate to UNICEF to help get immediate medical aid & resources to the children of Gaza.”
The company added that the decision to send financial aid to Gaza stems from the diversity and inclusion of Rare Beauty, which employs people of different “races, beliefs, sexualities, gender identities and religions”.
