The youngest Israeli hostage held by Hamas, his 4-year-old brother and their mother were killed by Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip, the terror group’s military said Wednesday without evidence.
Israel said it was looking into the Al Qassam Brigades Telegram announcement about the deaths of 10-month-old Kfir Bibas, 4-year-old Ariel and 32-year-old Shiri Silverman-Bibas.
“The terrorist organization Hamas continues to act in a brutal and inhumane manner,” the IDF said in a statement.
“IDF representatives spoke to members of the Bibas family, informed them of the claim, and are accompanying them at this time. The IDF is looking into the reliability of the information.”
“Responsibility for the safety of all hostages in the Gaza Strip lies entirely with the terrorist organization Hamas. Hamas endangers the hostages, including nine children. Hamas is required to immediately return them to Israel,” the statement continued.

The three were kidnapped along with the Yarden patriarch from their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, and the photogenic red-haired youngsters, known as “The Reds,” have become a symbol of the terror of the terrorist attack.
On Tuesday, Israeli officials announced that Hamas had handed the family over to other Palestinian factions and said they were being held in Khan Younis, a town in the southern Gaza Strip.

Despite repeated appeals from relatives and IDF officials, the Bibas family was not on the list of hostages expected to be released on Wednesday, according to CNN.
Hamas has released more than 80 of its approximately 240 hostages since a temporary ceasefire was held last week.
Israel claimed on Tuesday that Hamas violated the “framework of the ceasefire” by detonating explosives and opening fire on soldiers in two different locations in northern Gaza.
There were no immediate reports of an attack in Khan Younis.
Hamas previously reported 77-year-old hostage Hannah Katzir had been killed in custody by an Israeli strike, but Katzir was released last week, alive and well.

The aunt of the Bibas children, Ofri Bibas on Tuesday called for the family to be released before the temporary ceasefire ends on Wednesday.
“We call on the governments of Israel and Qatar and Egypt, everyone involved in these negotiations and this agreement, to do whatever they can to include our families in this agreement and release them as soon as possible,” Bibas told The Times. Israel.
“I hope they don’t hold it as a trophy.”
Eylon Keshet, Kfir’s father’s cousin, asked reporters Tuesday, “Are Kfir babies enemies of Hamas?”
