On Friday, December 2, singer Britney Spears celebrated her 41st birthday. Although her estranged sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, didn’t wish her sister a happy birthday on social media, it looks like the two may have calmed down their public feud earlier this year.
On Friday, the “Hold Me Closer” singer shared numerous photos and videos, including of her two younger sisters, whom she called “so brave” and “inspiring.” The post was a stark contrast to his earlier this year, when he often referred to his sister as “trash”.

In an Instagram post shared on her own birthday, the “Lucky” singer seemed to praise Jamie Lynn’s appearance on Fox’s upcoming reality show “Special Forces: The Ultimate Test.” The show featured sixteen celebrities forced to survive a grueling special forces training exercise in the desert, run by real former special forces operatives.
“It’s my b-day but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you… congratulations for being so brave, inspiring and showing courage and glory in your performance ? !!!” Britney wrote alongside two pictures of her sister. “You are not alone … if anyone knows how it feels … I understand ??? My little sister !!! I love you!!!”

While some fans felt that Britney’s comment was sarcastic, others weren’t so sure. “I rushed to the comments to make sure I wasn’t alone in my confusion…” one fan admitted. “Britney you’ve been hacked!!!” another follower chimed in. “I feel like I skipped a season,” a third fan agreed. Other fans felt the caption was proof that Britney wasn’t actually responsible for her account.
“LMAO. now I KNOW for a fact this isn’t Britney’s post. Whoever controls this account is doing a really bad job lol,” one follower commented. “OK, I guess this just proves that this isn’t Britney’s post…” another fan agreed. Even reality star Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote, “Ok now we know who runs the account. Cough Jamie cough.”

Although their relationship was strained due to Britney’s 13-year conservation, things seemed to take a turn for the worse in January, after the “Zoey 101” star released her memoir, “Things I Should Say.” Britney called out the “lies” in Jamie Lynn’s book and has since continued to write her own memoir, although a release date has yet to be announced.
In late January, “Oops!…I Did It Again” took to Instagram to call out her sister, though the post was removed within a day. “The country’s best seller ???? DUH…. the timing of your book is unbelievable Jamie Lynn … especially knowing the whole world doesn’t know what has actually been done to me !!!” Britney began, referring to her conservatorship that ended a few months before the memoir’s release.

“I hope almighty, God can come down and show the whole world that you are lying and taking money from me!!!” Britney added. “You stink, Jamie Lynn.”

In another post, Britney said that her sister “stooped to a new LOW” by allegedly perpetrating an incident involving a knife. “I have never been around you with a knife or have I ever thought of doing such a thing!!!” Britney wrote.
“The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I’ve ever seen in my life and it was too big for me to cut,” he continued. “So please stop this crazy lie for the Hollywood books!!!”
It looks like the two may have made up in the months since the post was made, but their relationship still confuses fans. It’s worth noting that Jamie Lynn doesn’t seem to be responding to her sister on social media. It’s possible that the post was just as confusing to him as it was to the fans!
