Heads of Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad meet as queen of Jordan rips ‘glaring double standard’ of West

The heads of terror groups Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad met on Wednesday to unite in the war against Israel – as Iran’s top leader denounced the US and vowed that “the world of the future belongs to Palestine.”

Photographs released by Hezbollah’s al-Manar television station and Lebanese state media show Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah sitting in an upholstered wingback chair as he talks with Hamas deputy leader Saleh Al-Arouri and Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Ziad al-Nakhala, who are seated in on a throne.

The three terrorist leaders – dubbed the “axis of resistance” – spoke under portraits of Iran’s former Supreme Leaders, Ruhollah Khomeni and Ali Khomeni. The three terrorist groups were all funded by the Khomeni regime.

The meeting was to set the goal of achieving “real victory for the resistance in Gaza and Palestine” and stopping “Israel’s treacherous and brutal aggression against our oppressed and steadfast people in Gaza and the West Bank,” according to a brief statement issued afterward. .

The main terrorist organization – along with other Iranian-backed militants – agreed on the next steps to be taken at this “sensitive stage”, the statement said, without elaborating on what those steps would be.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said that the US “masterminded” Israel’s bombing campaign in Gaza.

“The US is definitely an accomplice of the Zionist regime in its crimes against #Gaza,” Khamenei wrote on X Wednesday.

“The blood of the oppressed children of Gaza is on the hands of the US.”

Khamenei also declared that “Palestine will definitely win.”

“Palestine will definitely win in this current situation and in the future,” he continued.

“The world of the future belongs to Palestine. It does not belong to the usurping Zionist regime.”

The meeting of the three terrorist leaders also came as Queen Rania of Jordan said the Middle East was “shocked and disappointed” by the world’s reaction to Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.

“People all over the Middle East, including in Jordan, we’re just shocked and disappointed by the world’s reaction to the catastrophe that’s happening,” he told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour.

“In recent weeks, we have seen a significant double standard in the world. When Oct. 7 happened, the world immediately and unwaveringly supported Israel and its right to defend itself and the attack that took place,” he said of Hamas’ surprise attack on the Jewish state.

“But what we’ve seen in recent weeks, we’ve seen silence in the world,” continued Rania.

“So the silence is deafening — and for many in our region, it’s getting the Western world involved.

“Are we told that it is wrong to kill a family, an entire family at gunpoint, but it is okay to shoot them to death? I mean, there is a significant double standard here,” he said.

Many in the Middle East have warned in recent weeks of retaliation against Israel for its airstrikes on Gaza.

Last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdallahian warned that a regional militia network dubbed the “axis of resistance” would open “multiple fronts” against Israel if it continued to kill civilians in Gaza.

“Time is running out,” Amir-Abdollahian said during a live televised interview with Iranian state television on Monday night, according to the New York Times.

“If war crimes against Palestine are not immediately stopped, various other fields will be opened and this is inevitable.”

Meanwhile, Jordanian and Egyptian leaders have raised concerns that millions of Palestinians could be pushed out of Gaza and the West Bank and into Egypt and Jordan respectively.

Jordan’s King Abdullah warned last week that such displacement of Palestinians would be a “red line” and said neither Jordan nor Egypt would accept refugees.

He dismissed the suggestion that the two countries are taking in to flee Gaza as a plan “by the usual suspects to try to create a de facto issue on the ground.”

Asked by Amanpour about her husband’s comments, Rania said the people of Gaza faced “two choices.”

“Essentially, they were given a choice between deportation or extermination, between ethnic cleansing and genocide,” he claimed.

“And shall not be given to any man, [should] had to face such a choice.

“The Palestinian people should not, [the people] Gaza cannot be forced to move again.”

Rania also claimed that the war did not start with Hamas’ surprise attack on Oct. 7.

“Most networks covered the story under the headline ‘Israel is at war,'” he said. “But for most Palestinians on the other side of the separation wall, on the other side of the barbed wire, the war never stops.

“This is a story of 75 years, a story of extraordinary death and displacement for the Palestinian people,” he continued.

“It is the story of the occupation below [an] the apartheid regime that occupies the land, that demolishes houses, seizes land, military invasion, night raids.”

He said there “can be no resolution except around the negotiating table.”

“There is only one path towards this, and that is a free, sovereign and independent Palestinian state, living side by side, in peace and security with the land of Israel,” said Rania, as she advocated a two-state solution.
