Heartbreaking video shows tattoo artist Shani Louk happily dancing at an Israeli music festival before she is stripped and paraded by Hamas terrorists — as her mother revealed on Tuesday that she now believes she is still alive.
The 23-year-old – who spent part of her childhood in Portland, Oregon – was seen in a new clip online dancing happily at a Tribe of Nova event in the Negev Desert as she was surrounded by reveling friends just before the massacre- many, which caused at least 260 people to be killed.
Hours later, terrorists paraded him naked through the streets in a flatbed truck, shouting, “Allahu Akbar!” (“God Almighty!”).
The video was released when Louk was presumed to be among those killed, with it being described as “possibly his last moments before Hamas attacked the music festival.”
However, on Tuesday her mother, Ricarda, claimed to have been informed by an unidentified Palestinian source that her daughter was in fact in hospital.
“We now have more information that Shani is alive, but has suffered severe head injuries and is in critical condition,” the desperate mother explained in a brief recording shared by Spiegel.
“We ask – no, we demand – that the German government act quickly,” he continued. “This is really my desperate call to the whole country of Germany to help me get my Shani home safely.”
The stunning update came hours after it emerged that Louk attended kindergarten at Portland Jewish Academy.
Shani Louk was caught on video dancing at an Israeli music festival shortly before she was arrested and initially feared killed by Hamas terrorists. The 23-year-old tattoo artist was spotted having fun at the Tribe of Nova event. She was caught and stripped shortly after the happy moment.
Her teacher from the time, Devorah Spilman, told KOIN that her daughter showed her a “horrific video” of Shani in Gaza — with terrorists marching her, singing and dancing.
“And he said, ‘Mom, this girl’s from Portland,'” he told the outlet.

“The thing about Shani, his brother Adi and their family is that they are an Intel family and an Israeli Intel family that came to Portland and brought this Israeli spirit with them,” Spilman told KOIN. “Shani is a sweet, beautiful smile – just the cutest in our class.”

He said the family later moved to Germany.
“It just breaks our hearts,” Spilman added of Louk’s death. “And when it comes so close to home, I think everyone feels that this is not far.”
Merrill Hendin, the principal of Portland schools, expressed his sadness about the senseless killing.
“We are deeply saddened by his tragic loss and our hearts go out to his family and to all those who have been tragically taken,” he told the outlet.

Louk’s aunt, Orly Louk, told the German newspaper Der Spiegel that her nephew had been raised in Israel, but was a world-beating pacifist who refused to do mandatory military service for Israelis.
He said the last photo Louk posted on social media was a selfie before he went to a festival near Kibbutz Re’im.
“He often posts selfies on Instagram,” Orly Louk told the outlet, holding out hope that his nephew is still alive.
