Heather Morris made sure her late ‘Glee’ co-star Naya Rivera was remembered at the SAG-AFTRA & WGA protest.
The star, who plays Brittany Pierce on the hit musical comedy series “Glee,” was joined by other cast members in Los Angeles to fight for their rights. As people gathered for a change, the actor found a special way to honor his dear friend.

United in support of the strike, the 36-year-old, in an Instagram post, documented the joyous reunion through a collection of photos and videos. Among the photos, the “Punk’d” guest host wore a Paper 8 t-shirt that said “Heather Morris is an actress” and held a sign featuring a quote from Rivera’s Glee character Santana Lopez. The sign amusingly reads:
“The only thing I’m straight is straight-up bro.”
In the video, Darren Criss [Blaine Anderson] was caught singing and dancing to the song while Kevin McHale [Artie Abrams] grooving to the beat with the twerking motion. Joining his former co-star, Iqbal Theba [Principal Figgins] also flow with music.

While Dianna Agron [Quinn Fabray] absent from the scene, he offered his support through a heartfelt comment consisting of a series of heart emojis. Morris’ tribute was met with praise from fans who wrote things like, “Heather reppin’ with a Santana Lopez sign was all I needed to see today,” and “Unexpected joy reunion, but everyone’s excited.”

A third stated they were “OBSESSED WITH THE SIGN,” while another emotionally stated, “Love that you took Santana’s sign so Naya could be there too ❤.” Fans will recall that the late mother of one died in July 2020 after she went missing while on a boat with her son Josey.
The star, who was 33 years old at the time of his death, was finally laid to rest on July 24, 2020, in a private ceremony at Hollywood Hills’ famed Forest Lawn Cemetery.
As indicated by Rivera’s death certificate, obtained by The Blast, the cause of death was officially determined as “Drowning”, with the time period listed as “minutes”.
The document further states that “no other significant conditions contributed to his death.” This disclosure is necessary because of the various conspiracy theories surrounding the model’s death, which speculate the details beyond what happened.
The legal document also confirmed that the “At the Devil’s Door” star met his unfortunate end in “Lake Piru” and added that he dedicated “32 years” of his life to the entertainment industry.

Following the death of the “Devious Maids” guest star, the mother of two took to Instagram to express her grief. The Blast reports that Morris uploaded a video in which he engaged in an interpretive dance to one of Rivera’s songs.
In the caption, she explained that it’s “something very personal” before adding, “Grief looks so different to everyone… but one thing’s for sure: I find it hard to feel happy or busy when grieving without thinking that you’re not respect that person or you forget them.”
The “DWTS” alum emphasized her dedication to honoring the memory of the “Sorry” artist through her own life. She also referenced her husband Taylor Hubbell’s reminder that “respecting someone can mean you enjoy your life FOR them…”
Morris discussed her challenges with social media-related concerns but highlighted her determination to create a safe environment. He later admitted to hitting 1 million followers on social media and mentioned how conflicted he was about the reason behind the spike in followers.
The dancer later realized that her audience had embraced her with “love and support.” So he chose to commemorate the achievement with a tribute to Rivera “with his music and his voice that will be my favorite forever.”
