Actor Sam Asghari made a second statement about what happened to his wife, Britney Spears, on Wednesday night.
The 41-year-old pop star was at the Catch restaurant at the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas when she was reportedly attacked by a member of Victor Wembanyama’s security team. Britney insisted that she went to the NBA star and patted him on the shoulder to find a photo. Meanwhile, Victor claims that he “cummed” on her from behind.
However it happened, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs reportedly slapped him so hard that he nearly fell. Britney filed a police report and has since spoken out, saying that she has not received an apology for the incident from Victor, his security team, or the organization that represents them.

Later on Thursday night, after all parties involved gave their own statements about the incident, Sam returned to Instagram Stories to share a video from Breathe Heavy that showed Britney walking up to a woman in black and hugging her, apparently at the woman’s request.
“Celebrities are only celebrities because of people and fans,” Sam wrote. “He never did [sic] in 25 years the true superstar treats anyone with disrespect. This is how you treat people.”

A day after the incident, the Iranian actor shared a statement through his Instagram Stories regarding the alleged slap. It was initially reported that he was at a restaurant with Britney when the slap happened, but it is unclear how close he was with the singer.
“I am against violence of any kind, especially without justification in self-defense or others who cannot defend themselves,” Sam wrote. “Self-defense is inevitable, but the womanhood of any woman, especially my wife, cannot be disputed. I consider my reaction weak considering what happened, and I hope the man learns a lesson and changes his disregard for women. Thank you for the support.”

“The violent behavior of an out of control security guard should not overshadow the achievements of a great young man on the rise @wemby,” he continued in the second slide. “The blame should fall on the cowards who did this, the people who hired them without proper vetting, and the systemic culture that ignores women in sports and entertainment.”
“I can’t imagine a scenario where an unarmed female fan showing any kind of excitement or appreciation for a celebrity would result in her being physically attacked, much less punched in the face for patting someone on the shoulder,” he concluded. “Necessary change has to come for the summit, and I look forward to that change.”

The pop star first released her statement on Instagram Stories before posting it on Twitter. Later in the evening, he added to his statement on an Instagram post with an additional paragraph. “Traumatic experiences are nothing new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night,” Britney began. “I recognized an athlete in the lobby of my hotel when I was on my way to dinner. I then went to a restaurant in a different hotel and saw it again. I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success. It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.”
“I am aware of the players [sic] statement where he said ‘I grabbed her from behind’ but I just patted her on the shoulder,” she wrote, countering Victor’s claim that he “cummed” her from behind. “His security then handed me my face without looking back, in front of the crowd. Almost knocked me down and caused my glasses to fall off my face.”
“I was surrounded by people all the time. Actually that night. I was surrounded by a group of at least 20 fans. My security team didn’t hit any of them,” Britney said, as seen in a video posted by Sam later in the night.

“This story is too embarrassing to share with the world but it is [sic] already out there,” Britney continued on the second slide. “However, I feel it is important to share this story and urge people in public to set an example and treat everyone with respect. Physical violence is too much in this world. Often behind closed doors. I stand with all the victims and my heart goes out to all of you!!”
“I have yet to receive a public apology from the players, their security or their organization,” he wrote, adding, “I hope they will…” He added a third paragraph missing from his initial statement, writing, “I don’t appreciate it either and I don’t think this is a laughing matter. Seeing the player smile and laugh is cruel and demoralizing with the situation,” he wrote. “I’m 5’3 and he’s 7’4…”
“I appreciate the tremendous amount of love and support I’m receiving right now,” he concluded, thanking his fans for their support. “Thank you to the Las Vegas PD and detectives for their support.” A criminal investigation is currently underway; however, it is unclear at this time if the case will be referred to the DA for prosecution.
