Heather Rae El Moussa has shut down allegations from a cheating mother who accused her of preferring her four-month-old son, Tristan Jay El Moussa, to her stepsons, Brayden and Taylor.
The reality star was forced to address the issue following the flood of questions and sarcastic comments she received about the whereabouts of the children, who her husband Tarek El Moussa shares with ex-wife Christina Hall — whenever she posts about their child on social media. The latest came when she posted a new image of her and Tarek doting on the baby over the weekend.

While Heather often talks about Taylor and Brayden’s impact on her desire to have her own baby, a recent drop in her conversation has sparked a backlash. In fact, the shy mother has taken it upon herself to remind him of the existence of other children.
For example, one person asked if the mother-of-one “ever mentioned her stepson again” when she posted four photos showing her and Tarek spending quality time with Tristan. The toddler, who was wearing a black-and-white striped onesie, looked overjoyed as her mother held her in the first photo.

The second photo shows a naked Tristan resting in the crook of his father’s arm before reappearing in the third and fourth images, seemingly playing with his doting mother. Despite the infectious energy from the slides, it’s clear that inappropriate questions, like the one above, have put Heather on the defensive.
To that end, the “Selling the Sunset” star spoke with him TODAY.com about the ongoing attacks on her stepmom role, stating, “Taylor and Brayden are at school all day, and I’m home with Tristan. I can capture moments with Tristan easily.”
After explaining that her husband and ex-wife have a 50/50 custody agreement, meaning she spends more time with her son than her stepson, she continued:
“They’re also busy with sports and tutoring— they always have something going on. I blinked, and it was already 8pm. So, when we’re all together, the last thing I do is stand around taking pictures with the three kids.”
It also doesn’t help that Taylor, now a teenager, is hesitant to regularly post photos of herself online. In the words of the “Flipping El Moussas” star, “He’s a teenager now, and he’ll say, ‘I don’t like my hair in that picture. Please, don’t post that one.'”
The television personality’s claims come shortly after she applauded critics who accused her of traveling with little Tristan on a private jet, using a fresh-faced photo of herself. She was seen wearing a brown hoodie, sunglasses, and a black visor, as she strolled with her son, who was in a white carrier, in a photo posted to her Instagram Story.

She declared them “Protecting our energy ?” across the sweet snap before sharing another insight into her involvement in charity work through Baby2Baby. This non-profit organization provides important products to mothers with children.

Although she can now hug her son, the journey to becoming a biological mother was not an easy one for the “Rock the Block” guest judge. As Tarek recalled to Jennifer Hudson on the latter’s eponymous talk show last month, they went through the IVF process several times because they didn’t think “Heather could get pregnant.”
“We went through the whole thing, doctors and injections, everything. And then she got pregnant naturally, and I think she showed a covid test,” he explained. Despite the good news, the couple decided to keep some of the embryos from their IVF process, which Heather took as a sign that she and her beau “might have another baby” one day.
Although the thought of having a second girl warmed his heart, the news seemed to surprise Tarek, who replied, “I don’t know about that. Maybe. Whatever he wants is fine.” Talking about her experience as a first-time mother, the “Chillerama” actress said:
“I didn’t think I would be so obsessed with giving birth. And I have two beautiful stepchildren, and they’re amazing, and they make me want to have babies. It’s like an obsession that I never knew could happen, and a woman’s body is the most incredible thing going through this.”
