Nearly three months after Heather Rae El Moussa welcomed her first child with husband Tarek El Moussa, the couple has opened up about their fertility journey.
The couple chatted no-holds-barred about their IVF experience and what Heather planned to do with the embryos they had saved before finding out they were pregnant. The revelation came when the couple sat down with singer and actress Jennifer Hudson and saw the former laborer joke that she wanted to have a baby as soon as possible with her partner.

Heather’s road to motherhood wasn’t easy, as she and Tarek told Jennifer Hudson on her eponymous show recently. Her husband began the conversation by explaining:
“We went through the IVF process because we didn’t think Heather could get pregnant. We went through the whole thing, doctors and injections, everything.”
Although knowing they had conceived naturally filled them with happiness, they kept some of the embryos from their IVF process. For Heather, the move kept hope that they “might have another baby” one day for her.
The news shocked her lover, who quickly regrouped and shared, “I didn’t know about that. Maybe. Whatever he wants is fine.”
Heather then contemplated being a mother while being a stepmother to the two children her husband shares with ex-wife Christina Hall – son Brayden James and daughter Taylor Reese. In the words of the “Selling the Sunset” star:
“I didn’t think I would be so obsessed with giving birth. And I have two beautiful stepchildren, and they’re amazing, and they make me want to have babies. It’s like an obsession that I never knew could happen, and a woman’s body is the most incredible thing going through this.”
While this is the first time she’s publicly acknowledged her stepson’s role in her becoming a mother, it’s not the first time the model has hinted at wanting more children. As The Blast previously detailed, she initially threw the idea into the mix when she and Tarek launched their son Tristan Jay’s nursery in the days leading up to his arrival.
“We still have embryos if we decide in the future to have more,” the 35-year-old beauty began, as Tarek feigned shock at the admission. Heather laughs as she recalls, “She said if we decided to have another one, it would just have to be continuous.”
“Yes, back-to-back. I’m not a spring chicken. I will be 42 years old,” said Tarek who was happy to return the sarcasm. “The Flipping El Moussas” welcomed their adorable child on January 31 and waited a few days before sharing the news with their millions of social media followers.

Sunday, May 14, is a special day for mothers and mother figures living in the United States as it marks Mother’s Day this year. And in true form, several moms, including Heather, took to their social media pages to express their love for their siblings and give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
According to The Blast, the first-time mother uploaded a video compilation showing her nostalgic moments with her beloved family from the beginning of the trimester until recently after the arrival of Tristan.
“Celebrating my first Mother’s Day as a mum this year but lucky enough to have two bonus children who make me feel so special every year ❤️,” the real estate agent began her heartfelt caption.
The reality television star later revealed that giving birth to her son has “completed” her in ways she didn’t know was possible and even changed her “life for the better.”
She closed her post by saying “mothers, bonus mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, mothers-to-be and mother figures” in celebration of an “amazing Mother’s Day”. Some casual fans camped out in the comments section and poured their hearts out, like this one who wrote, “Lucky enough to be a Mom and Stepmom is the best ?.”
A second fan also wrote, “Happy first Mother’s Day! Your love knows no bounds, reaching all three El Moussa babies. May this day be filled with precious moments and precious memories.”
