As the 23rd of this month marks their first wedding anniversary, beloved wife Heather Rae Young — who has taken her husband’s full name — has taken to Instagram to share her heartwarming love story.
The El Moussas, who tied the knot on October 23, 2021, at the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito, took a romantic trip to celebrate the milestone.

Heather was ecstatic as she flooded the gram with a series of photos from the couple’s fairytale wedding the previous year. All the pictures feature the cute couple wearing beautiful wedding ensembles at their wedding venue and looking forward to having the time of their lives with their loved ones and guests.
The first slide shows them dancing and beaming with joy, with their heads almost touching, while the second is a back view of them waving at the guests. Fans later saw the two of them kissing passionately in another slide, behind a high dais decorated with white flowers.
The sixth image shows a family relationship as Heather and her partner can be seen hugging two different women, possibly their family members but it’s unclear as their faces are obscured. The 35-year-old also had a family moment in the next snap as she posed with her stepson, Brayden, sitting on a shell-shaped sofa and hugging him to her chest.
And in the final slide, Heather and Tarek were captured in a romantic moment as they locked lips while holding each other and dancing. Starting with a touching caption, the bride wrote:

Although Heather is a romantic, she also envies those who have found their “true friends and life partners” in relationships. He often wonders why he is not so lucky and “sacrifices” his happiness with unsatisfactory “situations”.

According to the couple’s separate social media messages, they met while on different boats in Newport, and that meeting changed their lives forever. While Heather admitted she still “shudders” every time she remembers the moment, Tarek admitted he was on cloud nine meeting someone he wanted to spend time with.
