Heather Rae Young Shares Lessons She Learned From Her Birth Coach
Since she and Tarek announced they were expecting their first child together, Heather has spent most of her time updating fans on her journey, including health issues with her sciatic nerve.
Although she has found ways to manage the pain, the “Selling the Sunset” star has now focused on other things. According to her latest update, Heather learned something new during the childbirth class she took.
Along with a car selfie showing her in a brown top and white fur-like jacket, with white nails and a throbbing face, the expectant mother explained, “I really can’t believe the year is almost over. Heather later added that she learned a lot from the birthing coach who came to her home, making her feel “more comfortable & in my own environment.” The 35-year-old continued:
“I’m not sure about any moms out there, but with their first baby, I swear when I feel contractions I probably freak out. [and] making Tarek stop whatever he was doing to get me to the hospital. He taught me some tricks to try before rushing to the hospital- so much information I didn’t know.”
She ended her caption by highlighting her readiness and empowerment to “bring this boy into the world.” A quick update gave Heather’s supporters a chance to advise her, with one writing:
“Some advice is labor as much as you can at home!!!!!! Hospitals give people anxiety and it goes down! Good luck, and I can’t wait to hear how it goes!”
“Yes from a mother of six…if you feel like you’re in labor, drink a glass of water and take a shower. It will either confirm the birth or stop the contractions,” added the second mother. The third mother encouraged her to eat before going to the hospital.

Another asked her to include “An extra long charger, nursing bra, nursing-friendly jammies, sleep eye mask and earplugs to avoid interrupting the 5 seconds of sleep you’ll get (and need). A cable to connect your computer to the TV in the room so you can watch what you want, a hydro flask, a blanket from home and snacks,” in his hospital bag.
Heather previously shared her pregnancy vibes when she uploaded a glam photo on Instagram in September. The Blast shared that under the photo, she noted that knowing she was pregnant made her “MORE inspired.” He also praised mothers as “superheroes” who can handle raising children and working at the same time.
Former Model Showcases Nursery Ideas For Her Baby Boy
In October, The Blast reported that Heather shared four different nursery photos, hoping her fans could correctly guess which one belonged to her unborn baby. While the first image shows a white room with a gray leaf print painted on the wall and other subdued decor, including a matching crib and a nude sofa, the second slide reveals a soft green bed and a white chair next to the window.
The wall is decorated with a mural of greenery, along with a wall attachment placed on a chair and a flower pot adorning a bench next to the window. For the third picture, Heather attached a room with a black-and-white design, including a gray sofa, black potted plants and white curtains.
A final swipe to the left reveals a minimalist room with neutral walls and a leaf pattern adorning the white bed placed on it. Most people guess that the third slide is the unborn baby’s room.
