Heidi Klum Is ‘Proud’ Of Controversial Lingerie Shoot With Daughter Leni Klum

Model Heidi Klum insists that she is proud of the lingerie shoot she did with her daughter Leni Klum, despite the backlash they both received from the ad.

The 50-year-old model and her 19-year-old daughter posed in lace lingerie for Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi. The ad was even splashed across billboards in Germany to promote the brand. Although some fans thought it was “weird” to see the mother and daughter posing together in their underwear, Heidi Klum stood by the campaign.

While fans slammed the mother-daughter duo for posing in their underwear together, the “America’s Got Talent” judge revealed that she’s “proud” of her daughter and how “comfortable” she is in her own skin.

“It was really fun to shoot together,” he told the Daily Mail. “To do a shoot together with him and just to see how he’s so comfortable and also comfortable around me even when we’re doing an underwear shoot or something like that.”

“It makes me proud that my daughter is so comfortable in her skin as well in front of me and around me as not all children are in the world,” she continued. “So, I love that we have this wonderful relationship.”

She revealed that she and her mother, Erna, love to belly dance together, so she doesn’t feel awkward posing in lingerie with her daughter. “It’s a very big thing in Germany. It must be a mother thing,” he said.

“Not so many kids, but I think because my mom really didn’t have one, we didn’t have a babysitter or someone, so a lot of times she took me along and I started belly dancing with my mom in class,” she continued. “But I like to dance. I do all the tap dancing, ballroom dancing, jazz dancing, everything. Yes. So, I belly danced with my mom.”

Leni previously opened up about the Intimissimi lingerie campaign in an October 2022 interview with People magazine. “My mum and I were really comfortable around each other and we danced all day. That’s what we had to do, and we’re still doing it, so it fits. It was a fun day,” he said.

Although she has posed for several campaigns, she is now considering doing more runway modeling as the industry becomes more inclusive. “At first, I didn’t even think about doing runway — and now I love it. I want to do more. I don’t think, and I’ve never thought this, that you have to be a certain height or you have to look a certain way,” he said. “I don’t think there should be a certain standard, especially when it comes to height.”

MEGA“If you have the passion to do something, you should do it. I’m 5-ft.-4-in., and I have a passion for modeling,” she continued. “Just like someone who has a passion for modeling, we should both be able to follow our passions and do what we love, so I’m really happy that things turned out.”

Heidi shares Leni with 73-year-old billionaire Flavio Briatore. She later married, and divorced, Seal, although she shared 17-year-old Henry, 16-year-old Johan, and 13-year-old Lou with her. She married Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz in 2019, but the two have no children.

Heidi admits that she doesn’t talk to her kids about her love life or give them dating and relationship advice. “I don’t think I gave them advice about love. No one comes to me and asks too much for advice,” he told the Daily Mail.

“Honestly, my daughter already has a boyfriend, I want to say it’s been four years, so who am I to advise her? You know what I mean?” he asked. “So, I think he played well. He’s happy and that’s the most important thing. There is nothing sadder than when you see your child sad. So I want it to stay that way.”

While she won’t give romance advice, she recently shared the modeling advice she gave Leni when she first started modeling.
