Helmut Huber died peacefully on March 28, 2022. The death was confirmed by PEOPLE. A representative of the family spoke to the outlet and shared, “A family man, he was a loyal friend, and loved them very much. With a roaring sense of humor, a larger-than-life personality, and a practical problem-solver, she lives her life to the fullest. Mr. Huber who has raced motorcycles in Austria is a first class skier, and avid golfer, belonging to Garden City Golf Club and Westhampton Country Club.”
Susan’s wife’s publicist Jessica Sciacchitano wrote, “Helmut’s passing is a great loss to all who knew and loved him. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend”. The cause of his death was not disclosed but it appeared to be natural.
His death follows the loss of his mother-in-law last year. Susan’s mother Jeanette Lucci was 104 years old at the time of her death.
The family also requests privacy at this time and donations be made to the American Stroke Association in lieu of flowers.
