Cori Broadus Shares These Tips For Dealing With Trolls & Their Negativity
Although he rarely talks about it, there’s no doubt that Broadus’ blood relationship with famous rapper Snoop Dogg has opened him up to more online attention and attacks than anyone else. So it makes sense when he tells viewers they “can’t read the comments” every time a conversation about it happens online.
The 23-year-old singer spilled the tea during a recent appearance on the “Karamo Show” program, where he admitted to feeling “angry” every time he stumbles upon such comments, despite a million kind words first. In his words:
“When I read my comments, there were all positive comments, right? And then someone says something negative, and my whole heart drops, or I get really angry. It’s like, Cori.”
The “Reincarnated” actor added, “All these 100 thousand other people just say positive things, and this one person says something negative, and you’re sad, and you’re going to cry.”
He then concluded that viewers “just need to block it out. Shut out the noise and focus on the positive.” Comments immediately poured in under the Instagram-shared clip, with netizens typing:
“I love this. He’s a sweetheart. A second person wrote, “Listen hun… You’re already famous. But if ppl or someone says something bad, You are more famous.. They are just jealous..”
One supporter commented, “She should be able to read all the love, support, & hopes people have for her.” Meanwhile, a fourth Instagram user noted that Broadus “is the opposite of a Hollywood Star. She’s real, vulnerable, humble and an absolute gem.”
“Misery loves company. Don’t let what people say affect your day or your world. You have an inner beauty that no one can take away,” said another fan. This netizen said, “You can’t validate everyone’s opinion… especially if it’s done in an unpleasant way. Many people need to learn manners. But, read if you must, accept what you can, discard the rest, and keep it moving! #Are you!!
