Cher has been teasing her fans with the release of her first Christmas album, and they’re going crazy!
The singer’s fans have been flying since she recently unveiled her upcoming album artwork in a social media post. While many wondered about the project, others teased a possible holiday rivalry between Cher and Mariah Carey, whose iconic Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas is You” always takes over the airwaves during the festive period.

While Carey has held the title of pop music’s Christmas queen for years, Cher is now joining the festive fray. The 77-year-old revealed that he may be in for a crown when he took to Instagram to upload the cover of his first Christmas album, aptly titled “Christmas,” on Thursday.
The artwork features him in a white shirt over sparkly blue jeans and silver shoes while surrounded by large festive red and silver ball ornaments. He put both of his hands in the pockets of his wide leg jeans and stood on top of what looked like a giant snow globe. She asked in the caption, “Did you spend Christmas with me? #cherchristmas.”

As mentioned above, Cher’s announcement brought joy to her fans, with one posting in the comments section, “I don’t think Mariah will be happy this year ?,” while another stated, “Go Mariah! ?,” and a third added, “Mariah Carey has packed her bags.”

Ahead of this launch, Cher has spoken about the highly anticipated release, which is said to include a rare duet, revealing:
“I am really proud of this. It’s Cher’s Christmas album. It’s not your mum’s Christmas album,’ he said on Good Morning Britain this week. I’m so excited because there are millions of people on it! ‘I’ve never done a duet! I’ve never had people on any of my records! This was a last minute thing… but it was special. All of them.”
