A Georgia Chick-fil-A employee stepped in and saved a young girl’s life after he heard the child’s mother screaming for help in the drive-thru.
Mom Liliana Leahy stopped by her local Chick-fil-A restaurant in Newnan with her daughter Theia on her way to the grocery store, she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, 11Alive reported.
While waiting in the drive-thru line, Theia suddenly started making choking noises in the back seat, Leahy said.
Terrified, she jumped out of her seat and ran to help her daughter, whose eyes filled with tears as she signaled that she had something stuck in her throat.
“I have learned before to help in this situation, but I froze and panicked, so I screamed for help,” Leahy wrote in the post.

Immediately, a Chik-fil-A employee ran to help and began performing the Heimlich on Theia.
Sure enough, a coin flew out of the girl’s mouth.
“It was like less than a few minutes but felt like forever,” the mother said.
Chick-fil-A employees, who have a reputation as some of the friendliest fast food workers in the country, then gave Theia ice cream after she asked for some.
After the horrific ordeal, Leahy asked friends on social media to help track down the worker who saved her daughter’s life — a worker named Mia, who she could talk to.
“I can’t thank Mia enough for saving Theia. He was in the right place today and didn’t hesitate for a second,” Leahy said.
