The “Younger” actor recently took to the Dear Media podcast where he talked about a variety of topics, including “the most important meal of the day” — breakfast.
“I woke up really hungry,” Duff told Dear Media, “I was obsessed with the cauliflower florets. They are so kind. It’s made of cauliflower, and it looks like a ribbon, but it’s small,” he said. “They’re just cauliflowers and maybe like each other [ingredient]. They are very clean.”
Duff told the podcast host how she made a meal out of cauliflower sandwich rounds, saying she “put them in the air fryer and put egg salad on top,” along with some avocado. Sometimes, Duff said she opts for “fried eggs and vegan sausage” as an addition to her breakfast.
If she’s giving cauliflower sandwiches a whirl, Duff says she’ll make overnight oats to enjoy in the morning.
Although sometimes, the “Lizzie McGuire” actress admits to just drinking coffee and skipping breakfast even though it’s “the most important meal of the day.” “I know Gwyneth gets in trouble for saying this, but sometimes I try to drink coffee in the morning and keep my hunger at bay.”
Hilary Duff Changes Her Lifestyle

In 2019, Hilary Duff opened up about the changes she made in her personal life to become the best version of herself — including a new diet and counting her macros.
“I’m healthy now, and for the first time in my life, I’m enjoying it,” he told MBG Planet. “I had 10 pounds to lose after having Banks running around, and I was about to start shooting again, so I started counting my macros. I’ve never done it before, but I love it!”
“Every time I’ve dieted before and cut out carbs and sugar, there was this scary feeling like ‘I’m stripped, I’m stripped.’ I’m a balanced person, and I like to have freedom,” he admits before adding, “With macros, it’s nice because I don’t have to cut out anything I like. It’s just about making sure my body gets the right amount of protein, fat and carbs—and then I can choose what that is.”
The former Disney Channel star continued, “So if I’m feeling hungry one day, I know that I need to eat more healthy things to meet those numbers, but if I’m not so hungry the next day, I can have something that I enjoy … And I like to chew. Other diets are like, oh, eat soup, and I’m like, no. I need to chew something.”
Overall, she has seen and felt the changes and feels better than before. “It’s amazing, and I’ve lost 10 or 11 pounds, and I’m excited,” she said. “I also feel energetic. I eat every three hours. I have to do it with the kids and the pace I have to maintain throughout the day.”
