Comedienne and Hollywood veteran, Carol Burnett, shared that even though she will be 90 years old in a few days, she still feels like 11 years old.
Burnett, who rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with her television variety show “The Carol Burnett Show,” will be honored with a TV special titled “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love” to commemorate her 10th birthday -90.
Despite approaching her ninth decade, the actress is still active and working, having appeared in 2022’s “Better Call Saul.”

Burnett has been a staple of American television and film for over six decades, with an astronomical influence on comedy and entertainment.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1933 and began honing his craft at a young age. In 1959, she landed a role in the Broadway musical “Once Upon a Mattress,” which was a huge success and helped launch her career.
Through the 1960s and 1970s, Burnett became a household name, thanks to her television variety show, “The Carol Burnett Show.” The series ran for 11 seasons and featured some of television’s most beloved and iconic sketches.

Burnett will be honored with a new TV special to commemorate her 90th birthday, titled “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love,” each Page Six.
According to the news outlet, the show was filmed last month but will air on NBC on April 26, 2023, Burnett’s actual birthday, and will line up a host of celebrity guests who will pay tribute to her and her long career.
“I was amazed in the evening,” he said. “It was incredible. It’s not a birthday party. It’s not roast. It’s a variety show.”
He Didn’t Think His Hit Show Could Be Aired Today

In his interview with Page SixBurnett revealed her reservations about viability during “The Carol Burnett Show,” which airs on TV today.
“I don’t think the networks will follow what we’re doing,” he told the news outlet. “We have a 28-piece live orchestra, we have 12 dancers, we have two guest stars a week, and Bob Mackie designs—get this—60 to 75 costumes a week, everything that everybody wears in all the sketches and all the musical numbers, and so on. and so on.”
He continued, “And no network today is going to spend that money. The money that’s going to be spent today is enormous. So they’re not going to do it. And you know, they feel that diversity is dead, which I don’t believe.”
“There are a lot of people who can do variety shows, but … they can’t do what we do because of the cost. That’s the problem. That’s why nothing like our show or Dean Martin’s, or any of those, you know, can’t happen today.”

Despite approaching her 90th birthday, Burnett shows no signs of slowing down as she continues to work on new projects.
One of Burnett’s recent projects is “A Little Help with Carol Burnett,” a Netflix series that premiered in 2018. The show features Burnett and a group of children offering funny and often insightful advice to celebrity guests on a variety of topics.
She also appeared in the final season of “Better Call Saul” last year and will appear in the upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries, “Mrs. American Pie,” alongside Kristen Wiig, Allison Janney, and Laura Dern, per Page Six.
“I’m very lucky, at this age, to be able to get in the sandbox and play with people,” he said.
