‘Home Alone’ star Devin Ratray’s domestic violence case is finally closed after three years of back and forth in the courtroom, and he has pleaded guilty.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the “Home Alone” actor was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol testing and also complete the Batterers Intervention Program.
Devin Ratray Will Not Go To Jail
The actor best known for his role as ‘Buzz McCallister’ in the “Home Alone” franchise finally pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence on Wednesday, in a deal that will keep him out of prison.
The documents show Ratray was placed on probation for the next three years by a judge following his guilty plea.
The 47-year-old, who attended his final trial and sentencing on video with his lawyer, will also pay court costs and be ordered to maintain zero contact with the victim.

Ratray initially pleaded not guilty to the charges in February 2022 and was also hospitalized in January, with his lawyer claiming he was in a “critical condition,” leading to weaknesses and delays in the case.
Ratray was arrested following allegations that he pushed, punched and pressed his hands on his ex-partner’s throat and mouth during a drunken and violent confrontation in December 2021.
He was later booked for felony domestic assault, battery strangulation, misdemeanor domestic assault, and battery but was later released on a $25k bond.
Details About Devin Ratray’s Hospitalization
The actor’s defense attorney, Scott Adams, announced in January that he had been admitted to the intensive care unit due to heart problems.
District Judge Kathryn Savage then postponed jury selection in the case, which was originally scheduled to begin later that month, and set a new date for February.
Details from a police report obtained by The Blast revealed that Ratray’s ex-girlfriend admitted to biting her hand in an attempt to free her mouth after he placed it over her mouth during a heated argument and shouted, “This is how you die.”
He continued that he escaped his anger by hiding in a stairwell after things got out of hand on their trip to Oklahoma City for an event in 2021, which Ratray only attended because he needed the money.

In her interview, the woman claimed that Ratray was reluctant to attend the event because she did not “want to be known for something she did 30 years ago.” He added that:
“It’s been (a) point of contention for him his whole life, and it’s something I’ve dealt with a lot when we’ve been dating and that’s why he’s never done this shit before because he doesn’t want to promote that he’s on ‘Home Alone.'”
His former partner went on to say that Ratray was unhappy at the event because it reminded him of “Buzz,” a character the public would never miss.
The affidavit confirmed that the star had indeed taken a bottle of wine, drank heavily, and taken several shots of alcohol at Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse. He also had ten shots of alcohol at the Coyote Ugly Saloon.
However, things were going well until his ex-partner gave his autograph to two women in a bar for free, prompting the actress to lash out at him.
The argument continued from the bar to their hotel room, after which the woman claimed Ratray physically assaulted her, causing them to separate for the night and sleep in separate rooms.
The woman went on to say that she filed a police report the next day and had an unpleasant experience throughout the night as she thought she was going to die in the hotel room.
